Help! I lost my passport here in Thailand last week and am gathering the documents required for a replacement. I see I need some photo ID evidence as I dont have my old passport. I don't have anything of this nature at all.

Please..any ideas?

If you can not provide the passport you must have a police report.  Lost could very well mean stolen even if you are not aware of it and it needs to be canceled.

These days 2 forms of photo ID is becoming the normal requirement for many things so perhaps more important to have DL or alternative ID card option of some type.

So i go to the police station and report it. Then take the report and details page photocopy (all i have) to my appointment at trendy building. If they wont accept that then i wont bother cos i dont have photo id.

There should not be any problem as they will have copy of your old passport/photo on file.  That should be all that is required if you do not have anything else and you seem to actually have a copy of your old passport.  But admit being American can not speak for UK/systems.

But you will need that police report.

Thanks for the advice. It was only a couple of years old also, I still look the same as the picture, so wait and see.

Cheers again ????
