A motorcyclist was killed when he apparently lost control of his speeding bike on a road bend and crashed into a barbed-wire fence in Ang Thong province late on Monday.

The Muang Ang Thong Police Station was alerted to the accident at 10.30pm on the exit way of an elevated road in Tambon Ban It.

The motorcyclist was identified as Yutthana Jamnongson, 43. He suffered serious injuries to his face and body.

Police said the man was apparently driving very fast and lost control at the bend next to the elevated exit. He crashed into the pole of the barbed-wire fence and his body was hurled 10 metres from the accident site.

As the saying goes, there are old scooter riders, and there are bold scooter riders, but there are no old, bold scooter riders. RIP

Rear tyre is bald, can't see front but probably the same.  Suppose he thinks slicks will give more grip !

Not to be argumentative, bald tires actually have better traction on dry roads. The tread is to prevent hydroplaning on wet roads. Either way, this guy's number was up. RIP.

Any bets on his blood/alcohol level (in his remaining blood, that is)?

Yes that is a lot of claret running down there , the pix. pic looks like he was only wearing shorts and a T , not the best for fast riding .
