Importing medicine online from India

Featured Replies

I have an urgent need to buy some specific medicine (pirfenridone) for a serious lung disease. I think I can only get it at a major private hospital at a ridiculous price. This medicine is also made in India and I have been offered it by several online companies.  I  am  a bit worried that when it arrives in Thailand.   Will there be any problem? Does anybody have any experience importing drugs from India? online pharmacies in Canada and a few other countries require a doctor's prescription and are a lot more expensive.

i just got a weight loss herb from china confiscated by fda,

as a final insult, i had to pay fda to get it confiscated,

and no refund from seller.

There does not appear to be a brand of this registered in Thailand so I am not sure even the hospitals have it.

It is technically illegal to import medications by msil. In practice customs will usually allow in small amounts if sent by regular mail. Sent by a courier, almost sure to be confiscated. See if your Indian supplier will ship by regular mail and limit order to 1 month supply.

I assume you know this is a very dangerous drug and needs to be used under close medical supervision.
