Crossy Posted November 11, 2018 Share Posted November 11, 2018 For those who have been having difficulties making their Chromecast work properly with an Asus router (like me). Setup seems to complete OK but then the Chromecast won't connect to my tablet (device not found). Chromecast worked perfectly with my antique WRT54GL (running Tomato firmware) but flatly refused to connect via my shiny new (ish) Asus RT=AC88U (with Merlin firmware). I gave up for ages, but in a quest to improve performance I found this:- Go to Wireless => Professional and disable "Airtime Fairness". Hit "Apply".
