But it does beg the question would City have been in for Messi if they had known he was going to be available. Messi is definitely past his peak but still a great player, and a player who still makes those around him better. I would rather the stupid money be spent on Kane who is about six years younger than Messi. So far we have got big calf, big hair Grealish.
