EV Owners … Real life experience & help thread
Did another battery equalization, from 18% to 100% Slow charging @ 7.4kWh But, for some reason, stop charging @ 40% for about an hour, as I didn't notice. Going to guess that affected slightly in a negative way, if at all. Results were, according to the car, ranges when new @ 100% & now, Along with what the pea meter finished & started at, kWh used... At the 14 month period & equalization, was only 0.6%, so considerably more, or one of both, were a bit flawed. But, ballpark enough for me. So end of battery warranty, 8 yrs, maybe about ~10% degradation +/- May Equalize it again in another 7 months, as CATL does recommend a couple times a year. We've only done it twice. -

you seem to be quite pessimistic... normally, that's my role... the whole tax situation will have an impact on certain areas, but not to the extreme extent that many are making it out to be. i don't know a single expat who plans to leave thailand because of taxes. some have looked into it and know what to expect, while others don't believe they will ever have to pay any taxes here ... it's good to inform yourself so you know where you stand (tax-wise). that way, you can make hopefully a reasonable and rational decision ... -

What is the tipping practice in Thailand ?
Phew! I'm not Yank or Euro, so I only tip when it feels right at that time. I often see a little old bloke walking the road collecting plastic bottles, I always stop to give him at least 50 bht. He is clearly very appreciative and that is a reward for me. Yanks and Euros making it a common practice just make the receiver expectant and often not even appreciative. -

It is a very well known scam that has been in operation for a long time, You need to bear in mind that lists of peoples addresses and other details are easily available, for a price , to those who want them There are many people who are addicted to internet shopping , some of them are receiving many parcels everyday, its highly unlikely that they can keep track of all the packages that they receive. Its simply a numbers game for the scammers, how many succesful 900 baht scams per day do they need to generate a healthy income 2 or 3 would be enough -
