Latest developments and discussion of recent events in the Ukraine War
it's a little old post but couldn't let it pass, it's just an opinion Opinion - NATO: Call Russia’s bluff and let Ukraine strike back https://au.yahoo.com/news/opinion-nato-call-russia-bluff-170000312.html -

5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
I haven’t seen any positive / negative outcomes based on income but you don’t know what each embassy have in their own guidance so it could be a factor. If you wanted to take full advantage of the duration of the visa, 500k wouldn’t last the 5 years without other income. Marriage or retirement extensions are done for only a year but scaling up you’d need equivalent of 2,000,000 or 4,000,000 for 5 years. Maybe some embassies might expect something similar if no income? -

Delivery of fake order
Scammers haven't tried pulling that one on me yet. The scam hitting me lately is the bait and switch. You order 1kg product and the half kg is shipped. It is made right but it is a nuisance to correct. Another scam happened to me is the shipping defective previously used returned items as brand new hoping you won't bother hassling with the return hassle. Overall most orders are correct and those not correct are eventually righted. -

world wide income taxation update
Bt, if you read the examiner note of 12 September on what the PM's policy means, it mentions foreigners being included among those brought into the Thai tax system, even saying the "foreign residents" will be included in the new tax policy. But every article so far except where the DIR Gen of the revenue dept mentioned about worldwide income taxation was being discussed and that certainly woke up the expats here. We still haven't gotten anything past that except maybe in a webinar the local agent might mention it but again nothing specific on timing nor how well the "discussions" were progressing if at all. WE just have to continue waiting, and hope the nay sayers win out over those wanting to include all expats in their tax schemes. -

Do you want President Harris to pardon Trump?
Good point. I concede that one to you. But the Dem elite won't let Harris pardon Trump, because it's not just about Trump. It's a warning to any outsider not to crap in our mess kit, or we'll destroy you. Biden may pardon Trump, because the Dem elite have nothing they can hold over him. And he's pretty pissed at them. But if Harris is elected, she's got to worry about support from the Dem elite, and a 2nd term. They can throw her under a bus and they'd be just as happy with Walz as their cutout. -

Car parking at central festival pattaya?
Guess you are aware about the chaos on (long) weekends? People reported up to one hour to get OUT of the mess. I would drive there on weekends only if there is an essential need. When in Pattaya I mostly get around on the motorbike. And the motorbike parking is a story to its own. Overcrowded even on normal weekdays in the afternoon. My personal experiences with car to Central are from Udon Thani and Khon Kaen. Udon Central parking on a weekend. Absolute No-Go for me. -

What is needed to renew two year drivers license at Pranburi
What other documents do they require ? If you remember or jotted down. TIA I guess it makes sense, if you passed the written test already, doesn't make sense to take it again. -
