Both are  very new, in operation barely a year and with infrequent flights so no data on their safety record. Chinese owned. Personally those 2 facts would give me pause.

Budget?

11 DEC one way

DMK - PNH with AirAsia starting at about 48 USD.

BKK - PNH with Lanmei Airlines is 75 USD.

Even if they would come close on other dates, my choice for low cost would be clear.

Whether or not you see departing from Suvarnabhumi instead of sh.... Don Mueang as a valuable advantage is up to you.

JC Airlines has cheaper starting prices down to 20 USD depending on date.

And their fleet is fairly young.

Up to you.

You would be lucky to find someone with first hand experience.

A web search reveals little but no overly bad stuff.

Funny episode: one person writes that the entertainment screens come up with the AirBerlin logo  (biggest airline bankruptcy in German history).

And that is consistent with information from planespotter net.

Now you know where they have their planes from.

Maybe I should fly with them for nostalgic reasons

Lanmei has a flight at 11.15am from swampy for $55 , I avoid don mueng if I can, so I'm tempted to go for that. JC has similar price but not as such a convenient time, thanks for your reply.

JC Airlines has it’s web site located in the pits of hell.

Example - to enter my birthdate I had to press the ‘<<‘ 73 times. Whatever you might think is intuitive, isn’t, won’t work, means something else, frustrates.

The prices BKK to PP are good but do check Tripadvisor reviews, only a few at this point. 50% laudatory, others are horror stories like it left an hour early. I checked JCA’s rules and they say to be boarded you must be at the gate 3 hours before departure.

Get used to entering Captcha codes. Before I had finished picking flights I Captcha’d 8-12 times.

All that said, I only ended up with AirAsia because the JCA site just wouldn’t go past the final, prepayment step.

Grrrr.
