Should the member be here (in Thailand) more than 6 months of the year, and should a certain amount of posts be mandatory (say 365). What about hits/likes? i reckon at least 10% of posts should be liked.

 

These are fundamental and important thoughts on a topic that transcends many dimensions. Brings together posters from all over Thailand; spiritually. From the beer drinker to the wine connoisseur. From cheese lovers to lovers of durian. The people that prefer Big C shopping, and those that like to get their little snacks from 7-11. Some posters like the three 'fs'. Football, fishing and family. Others are content to spend most of their days on TVForum. Others like, to quote a member's quote by Arnie; humping and rumping.

 

Is this a broad church? Could it be described as such?

Agreed but I'll leave you to police that one.

Runners are being declared and ballot boxes prepared, soon the sleepless nights will begin.

 

Front runners will jostle for position, sporting dreams of overwhelming popularity and gin and tonic evenings, while the veterans mingle in the middle of the pack, careful to avoid the early traps. Those at the rear generally drop off before the first real hurdle, never to be seen or heard of again, mysteriously vanishing off the face of the earth.

 

Geneva convention rules apply and any alleged underhandedness must be backed up by solid evidence - he said, she said no longer cuts it when apportioning blame.

 

I will give you all a rundown of the field when the dust has settled and all the runners have weighed in ...

Word has it that impulse is throwing caution to the wind by throwing his trainer’s plan out the window, rather impulsive I’d say.

 

Kickstart is debating whether or not to go electric (I seem to recall he was a non starter on the line last year), while Spidermike007 seems to have lost a leg.

Scorecard has lost his pencil and is considering going digital, while Morch is looking to get his own back on the member who nominated him.

Nothing at all about Bendejo at this point (he could be a dark horse), and Bild766 is as optimistic as one can be as a first timer.

 

Pib is seriously considering a name change, while Chomperhiggot has the bit firmly between his teeth and is listening to no one.

 

Geriatrickid has seen it all before and is currently looking for his zimmer frame, more on that as it comes in.

 

Nyezhov has shown excellent form so far this year and is a hot favourite to finish the course, despite his Russian ancestry.

 

NCC1710A is expected to remove his prison tattoo and be given a name before the start, while the red hot favoutite Colinneil is having super wide tyres and a skirt fitted to his wheelchair, although it will have to be approved by the course technicians. With the sympathy vote guaranteed, Colinneil is putting together a WOW manifesto that includes equal rights for all and reduced travel costs for less able bodied members.

 

The last time Geronimo saw the field of battle it was not a pretty sight. Bogged down with the complex legalities of his current (unpaid) position as race commentator, our intrepid hero is sharpening his tomahawk wondering if the POTY winner will actually be rewarded for his efforts.

 

Baboon is a serious frontrunner this year and is the only candidate who is already campaigning. Word has it that he has managed to secure the approval of some major TV players this year, who will likely protect him when the going gets tough.

 

Fasteddie may have peaked too early and would do well to keep something back for that gruelling finishing straight (which seems to go on forever).

 

 

Bluesofa has never had so many seats and says he can accommodate all and sundry, while sanemax didn’t even know he was a TV member but will give it his best shot.

The bookies favour RonniePickering22, perhaps they know something we don’t, and as for Britmantoo, he is still distraught over Mrs May’s vote of confidence to make any further comment.

 

Melvinmelvin had been diagnosed with split personality disorder and the course vet doctor is currently examining him.

 

Darcula wants the race to be held in the evening, something about being exposed to the sun’s rays, while Markokokprong seems to be OK with everything.

 

 

If I have omitted any runners, its because there is no news as of yet.

 

As voters, it is your duty to go delving into the runners’ profiles to acquaint yourself with their activities this year, and as always, we welcome suggestions on how to make things better (if that is at all possible).

You should have seen the All Terrain wheelchair that Colin was going to buy....... many similarities to a Sherman tank.

 

He was all gung -ho  about buying it until Mrs Colin put her foot down as she thought he might try an escape attempt over the fields on the back route to Khon Kaen.

 

Something of a wasted exercise as he has previously probably been banned from most Khon Kaen hostelries..... ????

Brings warmth to my hands to see so many grown men sitting amiably around the round table congratulating themselves on their wit and posting prowess.  I would ask for a show of hands but
