markuk Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 yeah why not just answer the questions for everyone?? Or is it a dodgy card????
jeffrosner Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 If it is a Dodgy Card you're interested in, why didn't you say so? The missus and Moi won a 50,000 Dodgy Baht loaded on the card. You can buy anything with it, including Somtom.
Bacon1 Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 CALTEX STARCASH CARDWorks just like a storecard with preloaded value of 90,000 thb. Can be used at any Caltex station for both fuel & store items. Make Us An Offer!!!! Im offering 100 Thai Baht for the Caltex Starcash Card Please let me know if you accept this offer
jeffrosner Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Just a thought, but if the card really is worth 90,000 baht, that's a lot of baht to take out just to put 500 baht in the tank. Can you imagine coming home and not being able to find it? I'm sure if it gets lost, that's it - some moto taxi guy will be using it not knowing how much is on it. Imagine.
Bacon1 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 some moto taxi guy will be using it not knowing how much is on it. They will be using it for 50 years lol
amlek Posted March 13, 2007 Author Posted March 13, 2007 In response to all those people who think this is a dodgy offer - you couldn't be more wrong. If you watched AXN TV channel at 8pm on Thursday nights throughout Nov, Dec & Jan you could probably work out how we won this prize. The card will be issued IN THE BUYERS NAME & they will have to accompany us PERSONALLY to collect the card directly from the Caltex offices near Don Muang. Hows that for validity? We have now received confirmation from Caltex that the total value is actually 165,000 thb, but this can split on to 2 cards. We've had several offers & it will be going to the highest bidders who will certainly be getting a bargain.
Mid Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Expiry. The Card expires on the last day of the month stated on the Card, or if no month is stated, 12 months after the date of purchase of the Card. The Card cannot be used after the expiry date. Any balance that remains on the card after expiry will not be available for use. cite what ya got , a fleet of taxi's ..........................
solo siam Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Ouch, Is it for petrol at todays prices or just x baht to be spent as you liek over your lifetime?
amlek Posted March 13, 2007 Author Posted March 13, 2007 Ouch, Is it for petrol at todays prices or just x baht to be spent as you liek over your lifetime? It is for x baht with a validity of 12 months from the time of issue (when collected from the Caltex office) which can be spent on fuel and goods from Caltex shops.
chanchao Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 165K baht to spend in 12 months.... . . . . Say about 1500 baht per tank, one tank per week. I'd say you'd need storage for the remaining fuel.
danone Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 face value 90,000 baht for 12 months assuming gas will cost around 25 baht a liter: equals 3,600 liters, assuming 10lt/100kms: this card will carry you 36,000kms. i therefore would invest that card mainly in beer at those shops.
LivinLOS Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Or just stand in the forecourt in a knock off caltex uniform filling everyones cars for an afternoon.. I am sure an enterprising caltex service station owner would make a deal for 75k goods on a 90k card..
danone Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Or just stand in the forecourt in a knock off caltex uniform filling everyones cars for an afternoon ... thats gonna be a long afternoon: assuming each car would get 50 lts that would equal to 720 cars. assuming 5 hours for that afternoon: 144 cars per hour ... you can turn it as you want. you most probably can never use the whole 90'000 baht in one year. or, instead of a birthday party, you throw a fill-your-tank party for the whole changwat.
LivinLOS Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Dont know about your local caltex.. Mine has 16 pumps.. They have fairly solid queues at times of the day.. Lets say an average car fillup (forget the bikes) is 500 baht (more likely 1000 ??) that 180 fill ups.. 180 cars probably go through that garage in a peak hour !! Yes its a busy garage. Plus its a self service now (pay before pumping) so you have a single central cashier.. Probably an easy person to bribe to process the card into cash.
amlek Posted March 28, 2007 Author Posted March 28, 2007 Thanks to all those who got in contact with offers. Sale now agreed.
torrenova Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Didn't see it early enough but I too would have had to ask whether they sell beer or some other "marketable" commodity. I can shift beer and whisky and some other things but not thousands and thousands of litres of petrol.
