with all the talk of pollution. the govt should force pickup trucks that have torn off their exhaust systems and are pouring out black diesel smoke to compy with emissions laws.   why do they do it?  to save a few baht at the gas pump. ?  selfish

It would make no difference if they had an exhaust or not,

and i have never seen one without exhaust,its the injectors

that need cleaning and adjusting ,maybe replacing

and poor quality diesel that causes the black smoke.

You are exactly spot on to the cause of most of the black exhaust coming out of the diesel trucks. Some of the older trucks belch smoke due to age and wear and tear.

I'm glad I saw this.  That's the last time I let my brother-in-law borrow my tractor!  He said he only wanted it to plough the back field.
