We Love Pattaya blamed City Hall in the resort for not clearing away properly after attempts to repair the sidewalk went unfinished.

This resulted in a foreign pensioner falling over outside the La Ferme restaurant in North Pattaya.

A staff member was seen in a photo pointing to the blood left at the scene that resembled an unexpected obstacle course.

Restaurant staff gave first aid to the injured man before seeing him safely to hospital.

We Love Pattaya said this was terrible for Pattaya's image and they called on City Hall to get their act together before it happens again.

They stop where tourists want to get off

And on!

Usually at the most ridiculous place to block all other traffic... hellfire crossing being an example.

How absolutely stupid. This occurs everywhere in Asia. Why would corrupt Pattaya be pro active assigning crews to run about and repair this sort of stuff? Never going to happen. Ever. Especially in Pattaya.

Get a Chinese to fall in the file and break their neck. Maybe that will get the hole fixed.

Meh, if hundreds perishing on boats did not change anything, doubtful one broken necked Chinaman will cause alarm.

according to the latest on the soi Buchow grapevine a heart attack victim

who was rushed to one of our more expensive hospitals due to his collapse

a few weeks back was put on ICU , and I was told when he was visited he

was stone cold and no sign of life, but they kept him wired up and only after a phone call from family in UK, they unplugged him....total bill for 36

hours...700,000 baht ,so at least this old chap was conscious, and would be able to sign himself out..... before he was bankrupted.

I hope the old chap has a speedy recovery.

I will get an update on this story tomorrow.

Pattaya's shame is not one wee red stain on a sidewalk. Pattaya's shame can fill the ocean.

But I digress.

That is a hit and run review of the seaside city!

Jeez, it's not that bad.

I agree someone should fix them but anyone that doesn't see that obstacle and trips over it needs their eyes checking!

This is sad but this is a place where there actually is a pavement for pedestrians. Most streets, if they even have a pavement, (most of soi Buakhao doesn't,) it is occupied by noodle sellers, aggressive WIN guys parked or hawkers and you are forced off into the road  into the path of a huge coach.

What image would that be ?, if that happened in the West

you could sue the local authority, here you have to get yourself

to the hospital and pay the bill ,unless you are Chinese of course.

Cannot sue councils in New South Wales for these type of things anymore.

I have taken a tumble there; I wait for a baht bus there after shopping at Best Supermarket. There is a big drop between road and pavement and if you are not 100% steady on your feet it can be problematic.

My mom made a nose dive here too on something that resembled like an pavement luckily without any fractures.

Although it resembled pavement, what was it actually?
