Khon Kaen extends rainmaking operation period

KHON KAEN, 21st February 2019 (NNT) - The Northeastern Royal Rainmaking Operation Center has extended the royal rainmaking operation period to reduce air pollution from February 10th to 15th, 2019, to the end of this month.

 

The Director of the Northeastern Royal Rainmaking Operation Center, Wassana Wongrat, said the Department of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation (DRRAA) had set up a rapid deployment unit to conduct royal rainmaking operations to improve the air quality in Khon Kaen province last week.

 

The center has been closely monitoring the air quality in the northeastern province and found that the conditions would be suitable for rainmaking operations from February 24th to 26th.

 

THe DRRAA Director-General, Surasee Kitimonthon, has ordered the rapid unit in Khon Kaen to extend the royal rainmaking operation period to February 28.
