No, not sticky backed plastic (I loved Blue Peter) ...

I know I usually do the engineering stuff, but I need some sticky backed felt, about 1mm thick, preferably green.

It's for the bottom of some wooden coasters I've made.

I can get it from AliExpress but I'd rather get it retail in Thailand, Bangkok preferably.

What about the immitation grass mat in Golbal and some glue.

A mate bought some cheap "Astroturf" for his mini golf course. It was great until it rained, the ruddy stuff wasn't waterproof, lots of green bits at the bottom of the slopes.

I can imagine walking into Thaiwasadu and asking one of the staff, "Can you tell me where I can get felt?"

As asked many times before, "How do I get beer Chang out of my keyboard?" ????

Was the answer, "With a straw, the same as getting it out of a glass," by any chance?

My mum always told me that drinking beer through a straw gets you pi55ed more quickly...

Hmmm, now there's an idea to cut the budget ????

Sheesh Crossy, are you serious? Among all the weighty topics on TV, you want to talk about your beer coasters? How much beer did you imbibe before your OP?

Its good to have absorbent coasters. It is one of my pet hates. A dripping glass.

Australians have insulating sleeves for small cans and bottles. Keeps the beer cold. No coasters required.

People who eat quiche with their beer use glasses.

Agree whoeheartedly but in my experience most "aesthetically" pleasing coasters are not that absorbent. I have some nice Thai wooden ones but they are useless - and stick to the glass. Consequently I tend to use an absorbent place mat.......

There are different kinds of beer. Some need a glass, some don't. Quiche or no quiche. They don't have good beers in Thailand in my opinion, so use your condom all you want mate.

Try Mr Diy if one has come to your area as they have some interesting bits of handyman and crafts supplies.

Yes we have one. Definitely worth a look and I'd not thought of them.

You’ll need to check every isle. Sections are well organized but no telling what section an odd item might be hiding in.

Madam got some long barbie skewers from Mr DIY, perfect and nowhere else had long ones. But (as you predict) they were nowhere near the other barbie stuff, or for that matter the cutlery.

Indeed. Perhaps we could have a discourse from you on which brands need a glass, and which don't.

Beer is not wine. Having audited the factory of a major beer manufacturer, I learned beer has a shelf life about two months - who-ever makes it, and where-ever it comes from. IMHO people who present themselves as beer connoisseurs are mostly poseurs.
