OP i do not think it is possible, to my knowledge the only thing you can do is get a 90 medical extension, if you have a doctors certificate explaining your ailments.

As colinneil said, there is a 90-day medical extension, each time with a 1900 baht fee and need for doctor's certification that the person is not able to travel, i.e. return to his home country.  This type of extension has come under increasing scrutiny in recent years.
