Anywhere is good if you accept 'it is as it is', everywhere is same, same but different.

Anywhere is good if you accept it, yes, but will they accept you????

Thailand doesn't seem to be in an accepting mood for many at the moment.

I've thought about getting a second home in the us to stay a few months per year and get my fill of wine, steak, and pistachios..it is just so damn expensive to maintain an empty home there...an electric bill can be 1000 thb, even if you didnt use any...seen it in colorado.

Silly baiting TV thread but funny nonetheless.

Enjoy your trip. It always looks better until you land and start paying the premium costs for all those wonderful things you mentioned.

Why did you make the post "thinking about ayutthaya"  ?

Cuz thats where I am thinking of hanging my hat in the fall. Im trying to decide between Koh Chang (logistically difficult and high season will suck), Ayythuthaya (sometimes I wonder if its haunted) or going Chao Phraya riverside. I like the river.

Thats great! A breakthrough! A glimmer of empathy as opposed to mere psychopathic hatred of everyone and everything! Maybe there is hope for a sad guy like you to rejoin society after all.

Society is irreparably broken.  There's no way to rejoin it.
