Well I just made my plane reservations out and Im super depressed.

6 upcoming months of better weather I suppose, get some work done, some fishing, some beach time, maybe pay attention to ex if she is available...

 

But its gonna suck, riding around in pickup trucks, Benzes, Vettes, Bimmers and Lexuses with careful, enforced road rules on safe well designed roads instead of riding the BTS or screaming around in Minivans, going to be boring looking at those carefully manicured lawns, freshly painted houses and clean streets, I hope I dont get a bad reaction from the lack of PM25 and pesticides in the food, damn, 100 baht pineapples, 200 baht dragonfruits, whats a lychee, no water spinach, damn, what am I going to do with all the broccoli and carrots and Choice T-Bones at 400 baht a kilo, english english english no horns blaring, whistles screeching, loudspeakers, rooster and gecko calls, no broken sidewalks but I aint gonna walk anyway, Tucker Carlson instead of BEIN, no decent Thai food but at least the Tacos are real, hood <deleted>s instead of Russians and Thai girls, no Beer Lao, at least the weed is better although Paeng mak.

 

Sigh, Im sad. Who wants to go to Thermae.

Thailand doesn't seem to be in an accepting mood for many at the moment. 

I've thought about getting a second home in the us to stay a few months per year and get my fill of wine, steak, and pistachios..it is just so damn expensive to maintain an empty home there...an electric bill can be 1000 thb, even if you didnt use any...seen it in colorado.

Cuz thats where I am thinking of hanging my hat in the fall. Im trying to decide between Koh Chang (logistically difficult and high season will suck), Ayythuthaya (sometimes I wonder if its haunted) or going Chao Phraya riverside. I like the river.

It depends what you mean by acceptance, I don't need a welcome mat. I am cocooned in my own little world in a village in Isaan, I have a nice family, the locals know me and are friendly and the authorities leave me alone. I don't see anything as overly important and leave things be, as they are. It is enough for me.
