Reason being is i dont think pattaya is safe at all and Scams like theft and bill padding are on the rise. Normal non tourist thai people still remain very helpful and friendly. Just an unfriendly sketchy feeling in pattaya. I noticed they were friendly some times then unfriendly at others, Quite the moody vibe amongst all pattaya people. Tour groups and tackyness along with trash and traffic have replaced what was once a kind of artful paradise . So if you frequent one of the seediest parts of town , what on earth do you expect? The bar girls are going to be genuine and honest. Wake up.
