The Phuket Water Work Authority (PWA) is urging people to save water during dry season under the slogan ‘Save Water, you make it’.

Despite the slogan making absolutely no sense we understand the PWA is asking us to conserve the remaining water supplies. The campaign comes as residents around the island complain about very low pressure or no water supply at all in several suburbs.

The Chief of the Phuket Water Work Authority Nopparat Maythaweekunchai has inspected water supplies in Phuket in the past 24 hours.

I'm sure everyone will heed the words and not waste water during Songkran. ????

Save water ? At the rear of my property in Rawai is a large freshwater lake which serves all the area with a fresh water supply. At the present moment,  lorries are constantly filling the lake with rubble, taking away not only the water for immediate supply but for years to come in the future. Also destroying an abundance of natural wildlife. An eco disaster !
