Actually I'm a social drinker and i also now when to stop, AFL website has been known to play tricks especially in tipping were a number of the brothers have voiced some concern, perhaps it was you with to much frothy as you call it and missed the show mate old bean when a few of us were ranting about it, i wrote that at lunch time Melbourne time not early hours of the morning, you wanna get the glass cleaner out and get you crystal ball cleaned and while your at it get your halo dry cleaned as well.

No halo's here me old china and apologies Alex, it must be the way your words are typed that make you appear as if you're on the sauce every other hour because according to the Thai Visa clock you wrote the quoted part at 9pm thai time which is midnight Melbourne and the other about 3pm Melbourne time (apologise though, didn't realise Melbourne's lunchtime started so late) and with one game to play (at the time), it would hardly be considered "half time"... but again, you're a social drinker who knows when to stop...

The AFL's website are not without fault and yes I was there when we were having a moan about it, I probably even had a bit to say about it as well. That being said though, the Fantasy site and the "live ladder" is probably one of the more accurate features and again, no trickery or sorcery or slights of hand.

Just the odd seniors moment,

and a dummy spit as well!

Alexrrr, please don't go. TVF AFL would not be half as interesting without you.

Awwwww thanks for your words of encouragement jo but this season wasn't so enjoyable with the blow ins now that other fella sealed it for me still I got the gf cup he and I played for in my cupboard so I'm happy.

AFL 2016: Sydney Swans coach John Longmire re-signs until 2020

John Longmire is on track to coach the most games in the history of the South Melbourne/Sydney Football Club after signing a three-year contract extension on Tuesday.

Longmire wasn't due to come out of contract until the end of 2017 but the new deal will see him in charge at the Swans until the end of 2020 at least.

The 45-year-old currently sits third on the Swans' all-time games coached list with 138, behind Paul Roos (202) and Rodney Eade (152).

But with another four years in charge after this season, Longmire should comfortably overtake that pair.

The former North Melbourne premiership player is already one of the club's most successful coaches, having guided them to two grand finals, a premiership and 13 finals. Roos is the only man that has overseen more finals at the club (16).

And with the Swans sitting pretty in second spot with seven rounds to go, Longmire is well-placed for more success this season as he aims to become the first multiple premiership-winning mentor in the history of the club.

Sydney football manager Tom Harley hailed Longmire's re-commitment.

"John's existing agreement had been due to expire at the end of 2017, so it's terrific to finalise a new deal now to provide us with stability going forward," Harley said.

"There's no question that John's leadership has been a key ingredient in our team's performance – he drives high standards right across the football club.

"Already this season we have blooded six AFL debutants. We firmly believe John is the best person to guide our young players and coach our team, as our list and the demands of the competition continue to evolve."

Sydney chairman Andrew Pridham said Longmire has demonstrated outstanding coaching credentials.

"John's remarkable record as both a player and coach speaks for itself – he is highly regarded and much respected by everyone at the Swans, and indeed, right across the AFL," Pridham said.

"What John brings to our team is a tremendous work ethic, strong values and a genuine care for those he works with. His vision for our football club has already yielded great results and we look forward to him leading our team to future success."

Longmire took over the reins from Roos at Sydney ahead of the 2011 season.

Longmire played 200 games and kicked 511 goals for North Melbourne between 1988 and 1999 to be that club's second greatest goalkicker of all time behind only the great Wayne Carey (671).

Travis Cloke wore a non-approved glove in the Magpies' wins over Carlton and Greater Western Sydney.

The AFL contacted Collingwood on Monday seeking clarification about Cloke's glove, and club officials met with the League on Tuesday, AFL.com.au report.

The Magpies were informed at the meeting Cloke's glove was not on the AFL's approved list, and the club gave an assurance Cloke would seek League approval for any gloves he wore from now on.

A young AFL player has reportedly had obscene images of himself placed on a pornographic website after being tricked into sending them.

The promising player is said to have sent the sexually explicit images via social media to a person he believed was a women, according to News Corp Australia.

But it's believed the person was a man who then posted the nude images and named the player on an X-rated website in the United States.

Both the player and his AFL club are now seeking legal advice on how to have the images removed.

The club has also said they would not take any action against the player, deeming it a private matter.

They said the incident should serve as a warning to other players thinking of sharing explicit and private material online or via social media.

Meet the Rocca's on Open Mike last night... Tony still a bloody big sook about being drafted to the Swans and not getting to play (for the first 2 years) with big brother Sav and still bitter about the goal that wasn't in the grand final against Brisbane...

Sydney feel the same way i am sure... wasting a spot on the bench in the 96 GF for him in the hope he would re sign with the excitement of it all.

I certainly hope the current player wearing the #16 doesn't feel the urge to go to Collingwood, seems to be somewhat of a cursed number that guernsey...

Might be a few knees knocking, only 3 picked the top side to win tonight.biggrin.png

disappointing loss for the boys... they have to learn to stop these last minute losses and the build up

Deam Towers made a poor decision again at a crucial time.

Thought Sydney got a poor deal from the umps last night.

Jordan Lewis got caught several times with the pill and no free was awarded.

I think sometimes the umps get a bit intimidated by the Hawks reputation.

Didn't think it cost Sydney the game though, Hawthorn just showed more poise.

The decision by Towers to go short to Mitchell with 2 minutes to go was just terrible.

Even in under 16's, you know to go long and deep to the pocket and try and create a few ball ups.

Pretty sure he made some bad decisions against Geelong last week but not really made an issue as Syd won.

Hannerbery dropping a chest mark and then knocking it out to Burgoyne was costly as well.

The Hawks just know what to do and where to go under pressure.

I see Luke Darcy has now joined Bruce's constant wankfest about Rioli.

Was really hard to listen to those 2 flogs last night.

Bruce talking about Gary Rohan "he's got a touch of the Rioli's about him". <deleted>!

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm fed up with hawthorn winning everything.

Looks like they will finish top 2 now and will get 2 home finals at the G.

They will be hard to beat.

there were some tough decisions and some tackles unrewarded but the Swans still had their chances and have to have a clear plan about closing out games.

statistically it is okay as now some close games should see some miracle kicking from us

I am sick of the hawks lovefest by Bruce also... enuff mate!

Samson's <deleted> Curse! Naismith shouldn't have cut his damn hair! tongue.png

Dean <deleted> Towers! Does so many things right, but when it comes to icing a game... He <deleted> it up! 3 games we could (should) have won at the death and he was directly responsible for each <deleted> up that caused a turn over...

Can't pin it all on him, Horse should've forced Mitchell to tag Mitchell out of the <deleted> game!

Like Khun Will, thought the boys caught the wrong end of the stick from the umps last night (but against Hawthorn, that's par for the course), the 50 against Jack on the 3/4 siren was stiff to say the least and it seems they check the free count at 3/4 (3-13 to Hawthorn) time and go silly in the last quarter to even things up a little bit.

I wonder if Hodgey's sling tackle on Sinclair will be looked at by the MRP, no free awarded, but it looked suspect - arms pinned, head landing on the ground, player stunned for a bit.

<deleted> Bruce and his obsession with Cyril... Darcy's a <deleted> has been as well... Siding with Bruce so he doesn't get the chop next season..

On the positive side, I'm liking Aliir Aliir... The young fella didn't do a lot wrong lost night and has a strong set of mitts on him and has good ball use for a tall defender.

Not panic stations by any stretch, throw in a few upsets and things look pretty good...

Should've at the minimum been a free kick to Sinclair who was close to goal.

Pinned his arms and drove his scone into the ground.

Sinkers should've stayed down a bit longer.

But seeing as Hodgey is such a great bloke, it will be alrightrolleyes.gif

The one paid in the last quarter against him for a dangerous tackle was a joke.

the hawks have the names of the Umpires on their whiteboard before every game so the players can greet them by name when they visit the rooms pre game

little things like that is why they win
