I hope you finished your dinner before you watched the game Uncle.

The Gabba getting the AFL Grand Final just shows what can happen if you invest heavily in your stadium and get it up to scratch.
Obviously South and Western Australia can learn from this.

This isn’t the most disgraceful performance I’ve seen from the Dees but it’s certainly another to add to the rather large collection

Mate im just about over them, no backbone, been saying it for years, even when they had some good teams they didnt front and centre, now is a time we need a Grinter in the team, as a leader,

we have had to many pussys like Gawn and Neits running the show....

Hyphenated guy Neal Bullen should be chopped, delisted, there's half a dozen others they can throw out too, we dont come up after a 4 day break and 6 changes....Where was Leaver last night...i did catch a glimpse of him....another dudd....

There not up to it prefer they dont make the final 8, plus i know coaches these days are typically quite but this mob need a charged up Barrasii or Kennedy or a one Norm Smith to rev them up...some fire and brimstone....if i was coach these guys we be scared shiiiiiitttttttttlllllllllleeeeeeessssss this moring of me....

Apart from that Swans and i like them showed us how to do it, id like Papley in my team....this guy could teach some of our mid/forwards how its done......

Anyway the looked every bit fatigued, so much for there famous fitness and condoning coach...

Melbourne and Carlton obviously don't want to make the finals.   Just handed eighth spot to GWS on a silver platter.

I am glad i did have my normal dinner at my normal time and tunned in half a game behind, bastards would have put me of my food, Books was up to his old tricks in line on the game....though this time i didnt look untill i knew it was game over ......

These guys wont win a flag in whats left of my life time......

We are so far away from decent teams......the moment the pressure went on them horrible little hand passes to a guy almost as badly placed as where the ball came from, you would think they have drills for positioning wouldnt you, well i would....so you know about placing yourself....how many times did i see 3 Demons chasing a player and there basically all on the same side....... in a pack 2 or 3 go up for a mark...no fuuuuuuuukkkkkkkkkknnnnnnnn talking no drummers......where are the smaller midfielders running past a contest they have no idea....so you know its about the coaching too.....

One thing that stood out to me about the Demons coaching.

Why are players who are not proven goal kickers even being allowed to enter the forward fifty.

Your season is on the line and your putting the ball in the wrong hands but i guess that is the modern game.

Defence 1st lol.

Stacks on?

Richmond players caught up in brawl outside Gold Coast strip club

Two Richmond players have been caught up in a fight outside a Gold Coast strip club.

The Courier-Mail has been told the two players, Sydney Stack and Callum Coleman-Jones were involved in an altercation last night after being evicted from Hollywood Showgirls on the glitter strip’s Orchid Ave.

It is understood police were called, with the fight occurring just metres from the police station.

A league spokesman said: “The AFL is aware of the matter and is currently investigating.

First time ive ever seen Goodwin move some troops around, after half time Oscar Mack went forward, there was one or two others just forget now, he did his bit by bring the ball to the ground but no <deleted>******ING CRUMMERS, the likes of Spargo and you can have him next year no were to be seen....on a cruise ship too Fiji i think....

Look cant take it away from the Swans, good coaching they framed our play all night, when we had the ball or it was 50/50 it was just a crowed around it.

This game proves to the AFL short turn arounds are going to severely impact the team with the short break, twice we have come up on a 4 day break and both times looked like they had led in there legs  and got done like a dinner, would like to know the stats on other teams with a short break WILL the midfield of information?

Well!

Pre game i suggested an upset was on the cards against Essendon Melbourne and my tip was with Sydney accordingly

2 minutes before game time i heard on the Kayo that Callum Mills was out!  Of course i did what i have done all year and changed the thesis and changed my tip.... Callum Mills is second general down back, after the injured 1st general Sir Dane Rampe...
I was not impressed with bringing in Hayden mclean and McCartin going down back...

But what I did not factor in was the Melbourne team and the coaching of Melbourne. ????????

This young raggedy band of young men wearing the red and the white, the youngest team on the field in the comp, the most inexperienced team in the comp, a team coached by Johnny If It worked 5 Years ago It Will Work now Longmire, a team missing its best two defenders and missing its best 2 forwards , a team with a below average ruckman playing with his heart of gold

The crowd was a touch over 3000, an almost FULL grond given covid restrictions and it being played in Cairns.

There will be many of this crowd who will remember this game for the future look of the potential Sydney has , and the looming 2022-23-24 3-peat that awaits us!

The final score of 67 - 46 (which in a full duration game translates to approx 110-75) was flattering to Melbourne.

Melbourne came into the game with their Million dollar Boys , Jakey the Snakey Lever and the PIEMAN .

These MILLION dollar duo sweethearts would be going up against the formidable height and body weight of Sydney's leading goal scorer in Tom Papley... not only that ,they would have to face a Sydney forward line with an average 7 game experience and Sydney also had the handicap of Sam Butterfingers Reid playing.  The sme Sam Reid show seems unable to take shots at goal.

IN the past we have seen Sydney camping down back and inviting the reserves onto the ground to help clog things up a abit more, but that evening, the turnaround moment for Sydney and their future 3-peat we saw SYdney sticking to their NEW season game plan and going man0-on-mano and applying constant pressure to the experienced and seasoned Melbourne team.

Melbourne couldn't even take advantage of the Umps soft decisions , preferring to shoot for behinds than put it through the big sticks!   Which Melbourne player was going to STAND UP!!

Big MAXXY GAWN, that's who!!!    He marks and is DIRECTLY in front....he cannot miss this one!!!
Oh yes he can ????

Game over... Melbnourne once again searching for the bottom of the barrel, Jakie Snakey and PIEMAN left early to count their money...
Goody and the Alan Richardson were still on the bench, nothing being said, both searching for words to fill the awkward silence...

Sydney really enjoyed their 4 day break mate...

I think the Pieman will finish in their top 3 for the F&B.

Lever on the other hand.

I reckon he's just about the most highest paid dud in the league.

The one Langdon missed from 20 meters out to cut the margin to 9 points with 6

minutes to go was unforgivable.

He had a good game but he butchers the ball.

They fooled me a few games ago when I tipped them.

But surely when you're hanging onto the 8 by a bee's dick, you're going to beat the 16th placed side.

I know the OFFICIAL reason for the Grand Final to be Held in Brisbane... and Brisbane is a good place to visit and a good place to watch a game...the weather this way is always perfect

However, I feel there was more to the decision than simple quarantine regs...

If West Coast or Adelaide held the  GF, it would attract a lot of interest in those cities...Besides the fact there isn't very much to do in those places ,Perth has almost open slather on socialising and there would be pre crowds and game crowds and all sorts of excitement  with a possibility that WEST COAST COULD play.

A Home GRAND FInal OUTSIDE of Melbourne!

SO, my theory in part is.. The Afl doesn't want to have a Grand final in Perth or Adelaide because it would be a BIG success and that in turn would have supporters in those states, and by default Sydney and Brissie, ever increasingly asking about the 100 year deal the AFL board signed with the MCG.

Brisbane will be less of a success and that's how the AFL boffins want it to roll
