I know the OFFICIAL reason for the Grand Final to be Held in Brisbane... and Brisbane is a good place to visit and a good place to watch a game...the weather this way is always perfect

However, I feel there was more to the decision than simple quarantine regs...

If West Coast or Adelaide held the  GF, it would attract a lot of interest in those cities...Besides the fact there isn't very much to do in those places ,Perth has almost open slather on socialising and there would be pre crowds and game crowds and all sorts of excitement  with a possibility that WEST COAST COULD play.

A Home GRAND FInal OUTSIDE of Melbourne!

SO, my theory in part is.. The Afl doesn't want to have a Grand final in Perth or Adelaide because it would be a BIG success and that in turn would have supporters in those states, and by default Sydney and Brissie, ever increasingly asking about the 100 year deal the AFL board signed with the MCG.

Brisbane will be less of a success and that's how the AFL boffins want it to roll

Oops.

Richmond players Sydney Stack and Callum Coleman-Jones have been suspended for 10 matches and sent home from Queensland, after breaching the AFL’s return to play protocols. @AFLcomau

Big penalty for a couple of players who were on the outer anyway...
I imagine if it was  BIG name player it would be a different penalty

Stack back to Perth next years and into the willing arms of the Eagles

The penalty was deserved but I agree.

If it was Dusty Martin and Tom Lynch for example, they would've been available for finals.

West Coast are a risk adverse club.

The didn't look at Stack when they could've got him for free because of behaviour problems.

They wouldn't touch him with a barge pole now.

Another breach by any Richmond official or player results in POSSIBLE points deduction and draft selection penalty.

I'm guessing losing a 4th round draft pick ????

Further to the Richmond saga...

AFL players association has come out and said that the club can't force the players to pay the fine.... GIven both players are probably on low money, $37k each is quite a bit.

SYdney Stack has plenty of potential and could be a $44-500k a year player... if he doesn't get contracted he could be losing millions for a night at a strip club and some booze.

West Coast or Freo might end up signing both Stack and Elijah Taylor from the Swans

Yep, the AFLPA were always going to step in.

It's a hard one as Stack is reportedly on about $150 000 with match payments.

Then you have to deduct tax.

Cannot compare to Cotchin who is more than likely on $800 000 plus.

One has to smile. Who coined Mercedes party mode!

Have they pulled a fast one over the FIA and the other teams?

if Ferrari would’ve had this so-called party mode, Would the FIA have made any changes.

it could be a very interesting race this afternoon.

This is the same Lekahni Pearce who reportedly crossed a golf course and jumped two fences to reach Elijah Taylor inside the Swans’ quarantine zone in Perth a few weeks ago.   And now goes on social media complaining that he is 'nothing but an abusive dog'??

She does not appear to be putting in a huge effort to escape from such a toxic relationship.

North are reminding me of the little league days.

You know when the portable goal posts were put up across the ground.

And if they do look like entering the forward fifty it's wait till there is 36 players in there and kick the ball in high.

Shaw needs to take a leaf out of the Hinkley playbook.

If the skills are not there to trust one on one contests, play dirty footy, scrubber it forward.

You would be amazed if they trained it how much more effective it would be if the players are on the same wavelength.

Hey they coppied Melbourne, these days we cant even get it into the forward 50.....look its very simple.....Allen Jeans said it back in the late 80s or early 90's....his idea of football was very simple...."either they have the ball or you have the ball" doesnt take any brain power to work out ifyou dont have the ball your not going to be kicking a winning score....

3 up no one down = No Crummers, no one leads in the forwad 50 = no goals scored, no one leads anywhere = no getting the ball......simple maths mate....

Running into open space and makeing position is foreign to many of them....give the guy with the ball a target is like duhhhhhhh....and you know that old fashioned run and carry and run in waves....not compute, duhhhhhhh..... then theres like cover your man.....stand on his toes....some niggling would not go astray, how about about a few guys take there man for a run around the park if there dominating them....they use to do that in the old days...its called taking him out of the game....

Well at comedy house Demonland my biggest grip is 1, 2 or 3 up no crummers 2, shooting off a hand pass to a guy in a worse position, Oliver was doing great for a bout a month decided to burst out of the pack with some run and carry and open up the play....last 2 weeks he is back to his old ways...

It has to be the coaching no?

Uncle Alex

There was a camera shot in the Melbourne coaches box of Alan Richardson and Goody.

It looked a bit like Dumb and Dumber TBH.

Why Melbourne would go and recruit Richardson as an assistant coached is amazing.

He was an absolute spud at St Kilda.
