Not enough good players and grunt at North sir to cause an upset what your smelling is the ammonia in the floor cleaner the mrs is using to mop the floor....

As for the hip and shoulder.....in light of concussion and what we now know its time to rub it out, there intent on wacking the guy going for the ball is fairly clear there Fj, like most of the time a tackle to inpeed playing on would have been suffice, if they have time to hip and shoulder they have time to lay a tackle other wise we could dress up AFL players like the NFL does, do you want that?

When you tackle front on you lead with your head, that's what the dimwits changing the rules don't understand.

Let's think back to your junior days,i wonder why you were only allowed to bump and Not tackle.

It should be mandatory for 1st to 3rd year players to wear helmets.

You can bump a player who doesn't have the ball.....not so with a tackle.

No rules when i was a kid, then again the kids weren't good enough to tackle and hip and shoulder we where all chasing the ball.....

Like i said with what we know about concussion now and how it can have long term health impact hip and shoulder is pretty much a sniper hiding in the grass....that latest incident was pure intent on rubbing the guy out, like really the guy going for the ball is a sitting duck as was in that case, in that case he was head over the ball just picked it up then smash, lot different if running with the ball and someone comes in from the side sir...that incident hit him at 1 o'clock not on the side sooo close to chest it wasnt funny....and the impact caused him to hit his head on the ground where a side to side is unlikely to do that sir....yes there are degrees that i would consider part of the game and not wish it changed, a side hit needs to be taught head over the ball and anything else should be a report.

In the NFL there was a tendency to snipe the QB, late hits etc, you know to hurt, too put him off his game, was happening in many areas all over the ground, all these late hits, they have been having considerable issues with concussion, they have since introduced new rules, enforcing more diligently old rules, roughing the passer, you cant hit a QB once the ball has left his hands anymore its a 15 yard penalty and first down, any thing after the ball is dead is a big penalty, rough or dangerous tackles are big penalties, unsportsmanlike like conduct is a penalty, we could learn a few things from them Fj.

We will have to agree to disagree on the subject.

Never known of a coach to not preach wearing your opposition down physically in a contest.

Thanks Alex, the happiest thing for me is our improvement in our skills.

The rain hurt us against the bigger bodied Lions in the 2nd half.

Our full forward kicks it 35,to see Hipwood thumping it through from 50 would have opened Brady Rawlings eyes.

Joel Selwood and Toby Greene’s actions antithetical to AFL principles

The real villains are those who subsist on the periphery of foul play and rarely attract due penalty

After a week of handwringing brought by the David Mackay tribunal case, expect there to be very little as the AFL world glosses over the match review findings of round 14. And more is the pity. The actions of Joel Selwood and Toby Greene deserve greater discourse than they will receive at a time when the industry obsesses over what should, and what should not, have a rightful place in the game

Few incidents have polarised opinion like the one that saw Mackay sent straight to the tribunal for breaking Hunter Clark’s jaw. The hit on Clark – if a collision between two men going for the ball can be called such – did severe damage to the St Kilda player but none to the reputation of the sport. The conclusion of this supposed landmark case was that the Adelaide veteran acted reasonably in the circumstances and had no case to answer despite the horrific injuries suffered by his opponent.

The actions this round of Selwood and Greene, conversely, achieved the polar opposite: the victims of their wrongdoings will train and play this week as if nothing had happened, but the game itself has suffered.

The Geelong skipper escaped with fines for two episodes of misconduct against Western Bulldogs: probing fingers to the face of Bailey Dale as he lay pinned to the turf and a face scrape followed by sliding studs to the shin of Taylor Duryea. Greene, too, will not be suspended despite striking Carlton’s Nic Newman across the stomach behind the play. This is familiar territory for both players, whose handiwork off the ball and at the bottom of packs is as good as anyone’s.

Nice Scea.

Fines don't work.

Players like Selwood and Greene are on around $800 000 per year.

A two or 3 thousand fine means nothing to them.

And they're (fines) tax deductible as well.

Friday funnies on a Thursday ......

Well i had a busy week doing not much, Bunnings were out of timber yesterday when i checked...hoping they would restock some shelves over night my life was saved this morning when i was able to pick up some of the rare gold that it is at the moment.....have a pressing job at home men....discovered mould in part of the frame at my place and its been making me unwell...

Trump still getting some press....can you believe?

And a retired Thai gentlemen i read in Thaiger went to the police because his barber would not refund his 60B when he companied that his haircut did not make him hunsum.....yes its in  black and white if you care to go look....the police tried to mediate with both parties adamant they would not budge....so the police out of there own pocket reimbursed the retired gentleman and sent him on his way.....thats nice......you hear so many stories about they taking donations nice change of pace here....

Round 15 already....my my how the year has flown......now we are a top club its going way to fast...slow down and enjoy the ride i say....

Lions @ home to the Pussys, there are a few dart board games on this weekend and im sure theres going to be a shake up and out of the tipping ladder men....so OZ this is your chance to take over the mantle as numero ono........home team you would think though the Cats are chugging along nicely......if Scott does a dance in the coaches box at half time you know there in for the thrill....nice weather up north Fagen's trip to the hairdressers should do the trick....

Tigers play the happles Chookies.....not even in the race, friday night game, what a disgrace, the recruiting of a bunch of second rate players apart from Hill is now showing its worth....dont bother to tune in....like who actually was impressed with the Saints recruiting a couple of years ago? not i thats for sure.....a few were when they strung a few games together......And then they go get Frawley........Be a good idea if the Blues asked Ratten to come back as hes not got much to work with there....

Pies under Saints legend Harvey plays Freo.......where to here St Peter? cutting yourself off at the knees was a brilliant move by the Pies, but they will bounce back eventually, Freo? last i heard they were hitch hiking across the Nullarbor  for the weekends game, i heard Bell pulled the plug on flights due to the inept displays from the Dockers fish and chip for dinner and if there lucky some polluted water found along the way.......

North in Tassie over the Suns....well well well....after listening too there chairman the Suns that is its no wonder there <deleted>.....dont know how he made a bob with his thinking.....North will not relocate was the word and to be honest Tassie dont want them anyway, they would prefer the Hawks if someone was heading sth, i say the Suns are pretty much up poo creek, the AFL would need to step in and clean them out ah la Demons or shut up shop and send the playing group into the draft and let a stand alone team in from down sth.......Fj could feel somewhat comfortable here but the Suns are due for a win....

Port vs Swans......should be a cracker jakker.....with fading superstar Franklin almost ready to head off into the sunset with hot model wife....

Essendon vs the Demons, well speculation is mounting with pressure applied.....fingers pointed at underachieving Weed no word of even close to signing a contract and like you would think he couldnt sign one fast enough with his record....im at the point where im over Sam, and its clear he is looking to get traded so "i dont care" he isnt worth his place in the team when you have Ben Brown, Mitch Brown and even Magic Door, Sam needs to be dropped to keep the juggernaut rolling as the Bombers are no push overs....This game is an important test for both clubs.....should be a fire cracker of a game.....with the team that has red on there jumper the winner....

Gaints to fall at the G as the might Hawks stand tall.....Clarkson has worked it out men....there expected to roll like a slow steamroller for the next few games....now that Frawley isnt in the team......took a while to scratch his name off the locker.....all good and ready to go...

Eagles @ at all powerful Optus oval....against a wounded Bulldog....what to do what to do?.....Eagles like an early game, Dogs like a late game, seems good for both....since there in Perth and the Dogs wont put there watches back......another cracker jakker game....you could use Egg Jackson here WILL.....

This game you can watch if your having trouble going to sleep....Blues @ home to the Crows, all eyes are on Teague, will he survive the weekend? His good karma has run out, players need to deliver or there got a new coach coming soon, they might not like that, bet ya there wording up Bucks as i speak....Teague is a dead man walking because thats how you deflect a board's underperformance, think Buckley will take a year off and join the media circus after what he experienced.....the Blues board reminds me so much of the Melbourne Victory board....wonder how long Del Petro will carry on about Victory being the Man United of Aussie as Sydney United prepare to play there 3rd GF on the trott..... You know its not good for football if the Crows win....i still cant get over the venom from there supporters at the G once....like they were out number 1000 to 1, with a cavalier attitude to there safety, it didnt stop them carrying on like a pidgins fighting over a bit of bread...

For you WILL....

6 first round pics is cheap if you can convince him to go home....says he loves living in a permanent winter....meaning Melbourne...."Egg" is the nick name....ya i can see it but hes not that dumb...must have had a few broken noses i think....

Ho and why is he cheap?

He would be cheap at 6 first round picks because he is the best tall ive ever seen right from game 1.....even Jim Stynes who improved with every game would run second to Luke, (and i think old Jim was worth his weight in gold) this guy if he stays healthy is going to be the best tall in the game within 4 years, and can play anywhere, a natural on the ball and already a threatening forward.....

Friday funnies on a Thursday........

Well mr WILLBert is closing in on me in tipping...i had a good run...led for what...8 or 9 round? Ozz will he get the wobbles? I wish you the best fellow Demon......but still 6 or 7 rounds to go you know........If the Demons Finnish top its all i care for....happy to take that........

Thaiger........think its run by an Aussie, not sure but he seems to be the front man on the youtube show they have, its an app now and a newspaper....some light reading over your iced coffee men in Thailand....hes not to good in live streams, hehehe, gets overwhelmed by the questions, watched for what an hour? gees not to entertaining and repeating himself but anyway, he should do the buzz in this day and age bald men dont show there wings they buzz it off.....they tend to run the stories for a while getting slowly pushed to the back with new stories as they arrive....light weight and often lacking detail its still a decent read between the Age and such.

https://thethaiger.com/news/national/man-gets-marriage-certificate-tattooed-on-his-forearm-ink-presumably-permanent yes well.....some men are pretty stupid if you ask me....wonder if Fj or Will have there wedding certificate inked somewhere on there body? Like really? showing a bit of pudding around the belly this Thai guy went and did the unthinkable.....the new mrs is impressed but its unsigned and unlikely to be able to be presented to the divorce court she said.....well shes thinking ahead.......

Suns somewhere in Melb playing the Tigers, yes well, Tigers might be a spent force and i have been predicting it all year but not this weekend, likely to be ruthless, if you haven't heard all AFL games will be played in Melbourne this weekend, the joys of corvid....a decent week in weather in way down south, mould has been removed from the house dog and i can breath again, suspect poor little fella has been suffering longer than me, had a hair cut this week nice and short and looking like beetroot from all his scratching, so i hope we are on top of it now...ps if there are any plumbers out there, i wish you all dead.....over payed morons,  seriously a 5 year old could do a better job from some of the <deleted> ive found  in this 10 year old house.....water has been leaking into that corner for the entire life of this building due to incorrect flashing....

Geeeeeelooooooooong Cats at the cattery wont go missing with the Bombers this weekend, gone fishing last week forgot to turn up....Look the Bombers were ok last week against us but you know Demons are good value if you buy a ticket....they keep it close, i didnt think that Essendon were much chop, and it was like 10 years late for me seeing and hearing the squeals from disappointed Bomber supporters, i softened up over the drugs scandal and still to this day cant understand how they could have charged the entire team.....anyway.....i would have enjoyed it even more 10 ys ago listening in....you have absolutely no idea how much flac they use to heep on us especially at Windy Hill....17 years straight ......of it....then that day.......6 goals down 10 min into the 3rd quarter.....that 60 plus meter goal by Darren Bennet and we won by 6 goals....after 17 suffering years......never will forget....never ever....Christian P stuck it up them.....after his goal....did you see? obviously getting ribbed made that guy even more angry.....well i understand, i use to turn it on at the G i payed my money so you know i  acted like a galah too.....i have mentioned here getting belted up by old women with umbrellas in the past...

Demons @ the G against the Gaints,  as stated above we like to keep the other team in the game for as long as we can, its a bit of a worry we dont have that killer instinct in us like the Cats do, its a worry, well you would think "its in the bag" you would think......after 50 ys of nothing im nervous still...... Leaver was on the podcast that i seen last night, says that the back line has stopped running into each other, they kinda can read each other, also says in a nice way that he and May outside of the team are chalk and cheese, interestingly Big Max and Jake "rick" Leaver socialise out of the club, ho "rick" is Jake Leavers nick name, apparently one of the assistant coaches at Deeland in his first season there mistakenly called him Rick....and you guessed it....its stuck.....What a dumb assistant, after all the who hur getting him from the Crows Jake should have been chiseled into his brain....

Crows, uninspired play the Lions, hitting peek form should pretty much "taking care of business" without "working overtime",  forget the name of the band now, did love that song....

OMG, laugh if you have to....Freo play the lifeless Blues.....the yawn game of the round......

Well you all thought i was staging last week....Hawks did ok hey wished id picked them, dont think they will be to lucky this weekend men....

Swans........go the Swans.....honestly Eagles had some good inns last week and at home god dam, yes well i should have known top teams dont loose two in a row.....shame on me.....

The Robert Harvey Pies @ the G play the Saints, lifeless 2 weeks in a row? tanking for high draft pics? heaven forbid, no one does that do they?

In the match of the round, Dogs @ Marvel over the young mavericks the Super Roos.....danger danger Will Robinson, i expect the Roos to be in the game for about 10 minutes, hope you have a case of Leo lined up in your bar fridge Fj, your got a lot of time to party and drink your sorrows away, having said that Nobel is gaining respect from me, seriously i wouldnt have given North a cracker of a chance to improve this year yet there showing some decent signs, of course young teams do get belted up every now and then and this weekend North will look like they headed so far south they will be standing dead on the south pole.....

Yes a bit frustrating working through to find the pages you want at the start.

About as well organised as trying to get a covid jab here.

It's a recluses life over here at the moment since they decided let people out of Bangkok,we even have cases in our villages now which is way to close to home.

Luckily i live on a 40 acre spread here and have resorted to self isolation with bulk supplies of beer and ciggies and internet paid up for 12 months.

We may never get to see the Demons win a premiership either????

Well if they dont teach the forwards to lead we are likely to loose the double chance mr Fj....talk about butchering your chances....honestly the GWS game we were a god dam joke.....this is they guy we need back, even at 50 could do a better job than who's there now.....

something for you in there Will.....and the day Jacko stitches up Norths Martin....

The history of that mid 90's Demon team was we where about to make some history then within 18 months the goal to goal line goes down, FB, Sean Wight, one of his two knees) , CHB Paul Prymke, shoulder, never recovered, CHF, David Schwarz first of his 3 knees, CHF/FF Gary Lyon, shoulder, never really came back from it. FF Allen Jackovich, shoulder Never recovered from it, went to play for the Dogs but no chop...Centreman Stephen Tingay started getting injured mid 90's was a shadow of himself but chugged along for a few years before going out early.
