BKK > Pattaya is only 2.5 hours but when you add in wait times and do this several times it adds up. Next time I am thinking of taking my laptop. Issue is it only has about 1.5 hours of battery life and a 120 baht doesn't have plug points.

What do you guys do during bus rides? I tend to try to sleep going one way, so will try that next time too.

look at the countryside that you are passing and take in the sites....

You could tether your phone to laptop IF YOU HAVE internet on phone.....

Why? Surely tether laptop to phone, but still only 1.5 hours battery.

My lightweight netbook has a 10 hour battery life. Perfect for international travel.

If going to Patts, I think about how to keep my suitcase, watch and necklace from being taken from me before I reach condo...going to BKK I try to compose myself and prepare for the folks who cross over in front of me to gain an advantage at the airlines desk...

It's all good!   ????

The last three laptops I have bought, have had many hours of battery life when fully charged.

Is it not only old laptops with lots of use that has only around 3 hours on full charge?

Sit there and try to picture what the Bus would look like upside down, half full of water, and what's the distance to the window nearest, you can fit through, is situated....enjoy the ride wont you?....ha ha

Ride to Pattaya is good for watching movies or reading something.
It's mostly on the new motorway and road is smooth.
On other roads it get dizzy from all the shaking and mostly looking outside the window and / or listen to music.
Sleeping is also an option, consider earplugs.
Safe journey

Drink Beer on the way. Of course I put it in a plastic soda bottle like Ice Tea Oishi. That way I try not to offend anyone. Usually 4 or 5 on the way to Patts from BKK. Time fly's by that way.

My humble OPPO A37 has about 300 music files and 100 Kindle books stored on it. A set of bud earphones, and I'm good to go. I've given up on laptops and tablets - too bulky. The OPPO battery lasts about a week in airplane mode. My Kindle is only on standby to the OPPO now.

Label it as you must, but I will always think of that bus ride as the Pattaya Sex Express, and in a good way.
