The results of the local elections have been posted in this thread. Big losses for parties supporting Brexit, big gains for those supporting remain. Also results of the latest poll published in this thread. What was it? 64% of voters would vote remain if there was another referendum?

Big wins for parties clearly against Brexit.

It doesn't explain it to a blinkered Brexiteer. It explains it fully to anyone with their eyes wide open.

And the latest poll results? I suppose that they're fake news too.

And you talk about remainers being in denial!

mmm.....I think I hit a nerve and there was me thinking you were going to provide the evidence to support your claim.

The latest poll is the latest poll I don't see it's changed anything in the weekend press. The referendum was probably one of the most important political statements that has been made in many decades, a poll is just a poll as much as Remainers would like it to be a political statement.

Remainers continue to demonstrate they are all gong and no dinner.

What did you expect when only the remainers went out and voted?

Oh, this is exactly what I expected. There aren’t many Brexiteers left. That’s why mostly remainers went out and voted.

To all those remainers who think that the leavers have defected to the remain parties, a little wager on the Lib/Dems at 33/1 in the EU elections must be worth a bet, but a safer bet would be Nigels Brexit party at 1/4 on. ????????????????

Not many Brexiteers left eh. The Brexit Party are polling at about 30% for the EU elections.  And we know how much you remainers like polls.

Let's have this conversation again after 23rd May.

This argument gets very old. EEC eventually morphed into the EU.  "Not the same" I hear you cry. Essentially it was, I prepared for your assault by saying, "Leave or remain in Europe". OK now?

Essentially the EEC was NEVER the same as the EU.

The EEC was a Common Market with NO political aims or affiliations at all. The EU morphed from the EEC and became more political and less market.

I have never denied that. The Euro elections will take place. My point is that, from the point of view of someone who is convinced that we are still leaving the EU, it's a pointless exercise.

But it IS the EU rules and regulations that are forcing the UK into it.

Elections for MEPs have always been a damp sqib. Very low turnouts, mainly by people with extreme views.

Farage may or may not preform well in the Euro elections, it's in no way a representation of the feelings of the general public. The outcome will be ignored, just as it always has been. An irrelevance.

You have implied previously, that the local government elections are a pointer to how people think, while in the E.u elections, more people vote. Yet you say they are not relevant. This makes me very confused,I suppose i’ll Just have to wait until the end of the month.

Did the Parliament rule out a No-deal Brexit? Yes or No?

Did the EU announce that they will not make changes to the agreement with T.May? Yes or No?

What possible options are there other than accepting 'the deal' or revoking article 50?

There are no versions of reality..... just reality.

To hell with Parliament. The British people voted in the largest Democratic election to be held in the U.K. and they voted by more than one million to exit this Undemocratic so called a Union.

It was a clear indication of the mood of the country vis-à-vis Brexit. The majority no longer have the stomach for this foolishness.

Not True, if you listened to any answers on BBC radio 4 on saturday Listeners respond to the issues raised in the preceding edition of Any Questions? many brexiters stated they either spoilt their ballot papers or voted for a party they felt best to run their local council.

For most people voting in Local Elections it comes down to do you want higher council tax and more services then vote Labour, if you want your council tax to remain the same and you don't mind reduced services then you vote Tory.

Why exclude 1975? Because the result was "remain"? Very Brexiteer.

But since that date, many, including myself have come to realise that we were lied to and conned.

All going pairshapped for the Tories...

Since last November she has been trying to ram her deal down our throats. time and time again we have spat it out.

We were going to leave March 29th, then with days to go we get a couple of extra week (or till 31 June with an agreement to her deal), 10th April now an extension to 31st October.

She has said there will be no European Elections 23rd May, then 11th April she said OK we have to run the process but they will be cancelled before they are held as we will get an agreement to leave before June 31st before May 23rd, well that does not not look likely with only 18 days to go...

Today she has urged Corbyn to do a Brexit Deal.

Is it not time Corbyn remembered That Labour's official stance for the referendum was remain...

True, the official membership of the Labour Party seems? to be for remaining, however the majority of traditional Labour voters are in favour of exiting this so called union.

What I cannot understand,is why pro E.u. Europeans would what us to stay in your so called union, except for our £’s. Do you not realise that, which ever way Brexit goes, the British people will never accept the E.u.

If we were forced to remain, you can be assured that the arguments and divisions will only increase. After a while you would be begging us to leave.

Far better to call it a day,Now.

since 1975 didnt you live in thailand for a long period, and you have stated on here the EU were the reason your UK business was a failure in that period, perhaps a clearer explanation would be nice.
