Grandfather caught molesting girl outside Sattahip temple

SATTAHIP:--An elderly Sattahip man has been accused of molesting his 11-year-old granddaughter outside a temple.

Somjai Nuchuchue, 64, was tackled by temple vendors and others who witnessed him touching the girl indecently and kissing her under a tree in front of the temple’s main hall.

Street seller Wanpen Pawong, 47, said she had seen Somjai arrive at the temple several days in a row and touching the girl inappropriately each time. Vendors warned him and finally attacked him when he repeated his lewd behavior.

Police said Somjai denied sexually abusing the girl and said he was only teasing her. But he admitted his son-in-law had also warned him about the indecent behavior.

“Vendors warned him and finally attacked him when he repeated his lewd behavior.“

One of the many many things I like about Thailand. These Pedos are often given a beating by the locals before the cops arrive and sometimes even after, and nothing happens to them. The cops often let them all have a go before they are thrown into the back of the police truck.

Back in the “civilized” western nanny state the cops would charge the locals and it is all about the pedos rights to a fair trial and if found guilty the are put in protective custody.

Bash a pedo in Thailand and the cops are very understanding and let it go.

Dirty Old Somjai appears to have gotten off very lightly. Others I have seen have had there heads caved in and can’t even sit up.

Hopefully the son in law will get a another go at him.

Saw him a few times and warned him?

11 yr old kid?

Should have smacked him across the face with a brick the first time.

Hardly even a generation away from peasants.

Gracious me, would these vendors deny a grandfather a long held tradition?...????

One would hope he gets locked up for a while. But likely he is a "first time offender". The judges here seem too weak to deal with them. Too bad she was not taught the convenient "pencil in the neck" trick. This guy's presence is benefitting nobody and he would not be missed.

Some actions in life cannot be taken back. This girl will probably remember this the rest of her life. Hopefully, she will be capable of demonstrating contempt and a total lack of respect for this absolute goombah, for as long as he has left. And humiliate him every chance she gets. He rightfully deserves that kind of treatment. If you cannot behave and show respect to your family, your kids and your grandkids, are you even a man?

Flog the living p#ss out of him and then banish him from the family, thats what the son in law needs to do.

in thailand it is rare that sex offenders get any sort of retribution by law.

this is fact and propogated by the attitude of the  pm and cronies that females are asking for it by wearing particular clothing or eating a meal with someone.

I hope the female will be given counselling, and the grandfather faces the courts.

His family should also shun him

Maybe he thought it was still Songkran.

And the pointers look like they just arrived home after it.

" Police said Somjai denied sexually abusing the girl and said he was only teasing her "

well, the teasing was inappropriate!

So the son-in-law warned him about his behaviour?  Would that be the girl's father?  Why was the girl allowed to go out with him?  Vendors observed his behaviour on a prior occasion and merely warned him?  Amazing and disgusting Thailand.

I am curious about the reason/origins for pointing and photographs being published in the Thai press.

What happens if the "accused" is found not guilty? Can they sue for breach of privacy or defamation??

Those being pointed at are always guilty.

So why do we have courts?? If pointing is enough to establish guilt "beyond reasonable doubt" ?

Christ, how sad and perverted. Apparently farangs aren't the only sex offenders in Thailand. ????

They have confessed already. Courts are a formality beyond that.

Confessions can be withdrawn or challenged by the accused in court.

Afaik something does not need to be untrue to fall under defamation in Thailand.

So even if everything which was said is true he could still sue them for defamation.

Do news agencies have any special rights regarding this matter?

Absolutely not, they fear the truth more here!

The pointing is a thai tradition so that everyone in the photo and anyone reading the story will know who the culprit is.

The Thai police have used this method in many photo shots .....

don't worry about the system that works ...  !
