Can anyone tell me what is the best Hawaiian restaurant in Bangkok? We have one more night till we go back to Korat and there’s so much to do in Bangkok we’re trying to figure out where to go next. Also I forgot where that place in the city is where they let the monkeys run free can anyone remind me where that place is? I’ve been there before but I forgot where it’s at because last time I was there we were traveling with my wife’s family. I wanted to go to the floating market as well but I don’t think we have time for that. We normally only make it down to Bangkok once a year and now that I don’t have to worry about income affidavits anymore we’ll probably almost never come down here anymore because I don’t have to anymore.

Our next road trip will be to Chiangmai because I want to see the Hill Tribes Villages up there in those mountains again one of these days.

In Tokyo, Japan they had a few great Hawaiian restaurants in Shinjuku Prefecture Tokyo and in Roppongi Prefecture Tokyo but I don’t know about Bangkok we might try something different instead. Still trying to get there lol. I forgot how busy this city was I haven’t been here since November.

I forgot about the traffic around here it takes an hour just to drive 10K. I used to be able to run 10K in 36 minutes back in the day. I’m definitely taking the MRT back to the hotel tonight. I remember now the last time we were here in November driving in the SUV it was just as bad. I almost forgot to take the traffic into account. Traffic here moves slower than Tokyo and New York City combined. Bangkok is a wonderful place to visit once in a while but I would never want to live here it’s just to busy for me. And I’m actually both a city and a country kind of person but Bangkok is still just to busy for my taste. Next time we go to Chiangmai and visit the Hill Tribes Villages again.

We ended up just going to an Irish Pub/restaurant and we’re here now. I think I’ll pick up some subway to go on the way back. They have everything in Korat that they have here in Bangkok almost except for subway restaurants. And I love subway brought to you by me lol.

Is traffic in Bangkok still a bitch if we decide to stay out after the MRT closes at midnight? Is it okay to take a cab 9K in Bangkok after midnight without being stuck in traffic for over an hour?

If not I’ll make sure we catch the MRT before it closes. I had to pick the hotel up in the northern area of Bangkok closer to my GIK LOL, just joking. I love my wife I told her I was going to an embassy appointment. No seriously just kidding I don’t partake in those kinds of indiscretions only on weekends lol. No I’m joking seriously.

When I was in the SAS I would skirmish through the metropolis to get home.

I only needed a bandana and a Swiss Army knife.

One wrong word from a taxi driver would ensure he ended up in an ambulance.

If a taxi driver tries to scam me again you’ll be reading about his demise on Thai Viasa. You people think I’m joking you have no idea.

You were promoting injury to taxi drivers earlier if they ripped you off but now I’m dumb for stating the same.

I was actually joking by the way but you appeared serious or full of it.

No you totally misunderstood. Although when we got off the bus in Bangkok I actually did almost hurt a fake taxi driver who was trying to scam me. I didn’t have to though because the look in my eyes and my words were enough thank God. I don’t want to hurt anyone.

There’s ways of mitigating trouble in LOS. Unfortunately you haven’t a clue how to negate such confrontations.

Next time it’ll be the taxi guy that hurts you and it won’t be a punch on the nose.

Take it easy Old Warrior...  Taxi's will try and scam you, its par for the course anywhere in Thailand. All you have to do is walk away. If they don't put the meter on, just get out. If they try to negotiate and you don't like the price, just get out....  there is no need to ruin your night and escalate - half the taxi drivers in Bangkok can be total tools, especially at night in the tourist areas.

Traffic after midnight should be ok...  no major concerns... sit back and enjoy the views pass by.

And, don't get in to an argument with a taxi even when you are right, there are more of them than you and they back each other up....

If I had been going hard instead of just flagging down a real taxi you wouldn’t be reading about it.

We may have... under the headline.... "Hawaiian restaurant Connoisseur beaten unconscious by mob Taxi drivers over metered taxi fare"....  and the link to the Go-Fund-me to cover the medical costs...

Your in the wrong place for restaurants mate . Hookers , strip clubs , go go bars , massage joints ....thats what Bangkok has to offer .

And there was also the Crocodile Farm in Bangkok. We’ve been there before as well. I could go on and on forever about all the nice positive places Bangkok has to offer.
