    Take a holiday in the UK and go to Liverpool by the docks...I know phew Scouseland..., but it's not that bad really They do it in 4 hours guaranteed.

Beats me, though, that we're still not permitted to use the online system from Thailand, which HMPO are encouraging the use of elsewhere. This should, in theory, eliminate the need for an initial application trip and only require a single trip to Bangkok or Chiang Mai to collect the new passport, get the old one cancelled and pick up the Embassy stamps transfer request proforma letter.
