PHUKET:-- Demolition of the luxury mansion in the hills overlooking the Bang Wad Reservoir because it breached the 80-metre limit on contruction has been stayed pending an appeal.

Tassanee Saetong, Chief Administrative Officer (Palad) at Kathu Municipality, confirmed the news today (June 28) in a brief phone conversation with The Phuket News.

How the appeal was even possible considering the ban on all construction above 80 metres above sea level applies regardless of land ownership was not explained.

That ban/law was suspended only a few days ago as reported on Tv, now its free way for anything and we will soon see, give it a few months.

"An appeal"

Yes. An appeal to pack more into the brown envelope to make this go away.

Or Stay more likely.

Enough money and influence you can buy a national park, must be a well connected owner. Top of the food chain. Maybe the monkeys can get in an wreck the place while appeal goes on

And now the house it almost completed...obviously never stopped works at all.

Just more nonsense from the Phuket gangsters.

An appeal for more money ,I suspect.

There is just so much indignation about the "greediness" of Thai phu yai that it almost gets boring (sorry) as the Thai's either don't care or are rendered helpless by the apparatchiks that run the local and federal governments! Either the Thai nation will rise up and remove these lowlife or they can lay back  in their soon to be squalor and have another lao cow?

There! Rant over for another day!

Very nice looking house.
