wrong. I never exited the country , still my last TM 30 was at  a hotel in Koh chang at immigration's computer and was told it is invalid and my landlord needed to file one when i came back from there.

That’s very interesting. Could you please tell us where was this immigration office and what happened? Did they fine you? Did he look back to history of your TM30 reports to confirm your home was registered previously? Did you show him your receipt for TM30 for your home you had done previously? Did they just stamp that receipt or did you have to redo they whole TM30 form? Thanks!

Not true. The law requires a new TM.30 every time you return from staying elsewhere; some offices enforce that, some don’t. It’s inconsistency that is causing all the trouble.

Correct. Although to add to the confusion, these reports aren’t really our responsibility. Unfortunately if not done they can, in some cases, stop/delay extensions or result in fines.

Why are you bothering if you’re leaving!

That's what a TM28 is for.
As it happens would you need to do a TM30 as well as a TM28 for an address change ?
The Administrator of the Thai Visa Facebook group has stated that the TM28 has been superseded by the TM30, as far as Chaengwattana are concerned.

The whole thing is as clear as mud!
