Of the hundreds of luktung singers I have seen over the years (missed Pumpuang) Cathaleeya Marasri is the very best. Unfortunately the power and scope of her voice is not done justice by the recordings of her, or some of the songs but live she is just amazing. Saw her once at the Thai cultural center with Sunaree, Earn the star, Mangpor, Lew Adjarreya, Fon Thanasunthorn and Takkadan Cholada. Even the Mrs, who rarely agrees with me, admitted that Cathaleeya was the best, they were all singing pumpuang songs.

Nice you come back Orton.

I was lonely in this thred.

Some of the most fanatical fans are from other countries. In Sept took a man to central who flew in from China just to see luktarn sing 3 songs at a shopping mall. The Japanese are some of the most dedicated, luktarn at the Thai festival in Osaka. Many Thai performers have appeared in Japan while some Japanese fans here spend all their time traveling to concerts.

“Until we become dust”

Official MV... 240 million view.

version sound the best IMO

Good song - lots of "easy words" but some tricky, idiomatic usage. If it was a few decades ago I would try to sing a song like this to help with my tones!

In my early days in Thailand I learnt quite a lot of songs even though I am a terrible singer. In my teaching I used them too.

A great way to learn, I commend you for posting such things.

YInn know in less than 60 years I will be dust. Sure.

in 200 years nobody remember I live on earth.

Gone. Forgotten 100%.

Re incarnation Yinn, Yinn will not come back same Yinn.

Yinn will be dust.

Caucasions (Christians) go to heaven or hell.

I really will go to dust, and that will be that. No heaven, hell or re-incarnation. The End.

Why are you mixing up Christians, which is a religion, and Caucasians which is a species of homo sapiens.

Really, in all those years, I have never heard a Thai saying they come back, re-incarnate, in whatever kind of form, after they pass away.

Whether Buddhists or not. Re-incarnation is not really a Thai thing I hear around me whatsoever. Do you?

First you are replying very negatively to someone just posting a song, and then throwing in religion, and question something which is not even a topic in Thailand.

For the remaining, you have a great morning Mr. wgdanson? Are you happy ????

She didn't mix up anything, she just posted a video ... you started to mix religion into it!

...jeez ... you are really twisting things around on purpose, as you like and wish to post your grumpy stuff around!

A simple, 'thank you' for posting the song would have done it!

There are many Caucasian Muslims, and many many more Christians who are not Caucasian.

Why are you mixing Buddhism, which is a religion, and Thais which is a nation with Buddhists, Muslims, Christians, Hindu?

Yes I am very happy living here in Thailand with my lovely lady. She tells me that re-incarnation IS a Thai Buddhist belief.

And for my sins of posting negatively on TV, I shall come back as a rat!    LOL

Sorry Danson, you are on the wrong track this morning

Why don't you have real men singing in Thailand, and only ladyboys.?

And, as far as I am concerned he(she?) is just yapping.

Digging deeper and deeper ... and this was only about a song, just a few posts before.

Are you OK?
