Police in Pattaya announced the arrest of a 43 year old South Korean man on overstay yesterday.

Giheon Kim was wanted on a Red Notice issued in South Korea for running a prostitution racket.

77jowo reported that he had been involved in arranging for Thai women to go and work in the country in June of 2018.

Nong Prue chief Pol Col Chitdecha Songhong told the press that the Thai police responded to information received from the South Korean embassy in Bangkok.

It was discovered that Kim had been hiding out in locations in both Pattaya and Bangkok.

He was traced to the Four Wings Hotel in Sukhumvit Road Soi 26, Bangkok where he was eating at the Gogung restaurant when investigators arrived.

Asked to show his passport he said it was at the Center Point Condo in Pattaya Sai 3.

It showed that Kim had entered Thailand through Nong Khai and his right to stay had run out towards the end of last year and he was now on overstay of 196 days.

The Thais are preparing to deport Kim so that he will face the prostitution charges in South Korea.

Silly, he should leave that to the local professionals.

Apparently he was a local “professional” in Korea and fled when they caught on to him. I didn’t see mention of him being involved in prostitution in Thailand.

I'm not... Are you?  Are you in Thailand?  Or yet another wannabe?

Or a has been who got burnt by the proverbial Isaan uneducated farm girl.  Or a bloke who has visited once or twice and is now a gold card member of TVF?

When I said completely or partly (directly or indirectly) I meant in general It's enough to buy a beer in an establishment where prostitutes work as you are supporting this establishment to continue and so will the prostitution - not more complicated than that.

No hard feelings and a continued splendid weekend …

maybe he was wearing a thong and dancing in a pattaya boyz town gogo

This is the most important and relevant part of the article and yet they failed to say what he ordered, if he ate everything, how many times he chewed each bite, how much was the bill and how much tip he left!!

He was procuring Thai girls to go work in South Korea, with the 30% drop in tourists I suspect he had them queuing up to go!
