Wesley Snipes is speaking out about Marvel's decision to reboot the Blade franchise in the MCU without him.

It was announced at Comic-Con International over the weekend that Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is expected to include a new adventure for the vampire hunter, with double Oscar winner Mahershala Ali taking over the role.

Many fans were understandably disappointed that Snipes — star of the original Bladetrilogy of films — wasn't involved since he has been campaigning to join the MCU for many years now.

The actor himself is now encouraging fans to give the reboot a chance, telling Entertainment Weekly that he has no hard feelings about being passed over in a new statement.

He's nearly 60. Give him a cameo role and a Zimmer frame and call it quits.

I just hope they don't go for "The Avengers" type movie. If they do I'll give it a miss, even though I thought the first ones were great.
