Vipavee “Petch” Deekaballes, 28, has won a gold medal for Thailand in women’s individual 2.1 km downhill cycle racing with a time of 4.44.125 min, beating Sirapassorn Chardkamnerd, who won silver and Indonesia’s Tiara Andini Prastika who won bronze, in the 25th Asian Mountain Bike Continental Championship in Kfardebian city of Lebanon.

 

Ms. Tiara Andini Prastika was the gold medalist in the same discipline at the 18th Asian Games in Indonesia last year.

 

Methasit “Best” Boonsane, 18, won another gold medal for Thailand in the men’s individual 2.1 km downhill with a time of 3.49.721 min, while Iran’s best downhill rider, Hossein Zanjanian, reached the finish line just a second slower at 3.50.862 min, followed by Taiwan’s Sheng Shan Chiang, who came third at 3.51.843 min.

It would be nice to see how the Thai Riders stack up in Global Events...

I would think they would do well, maybe not  as high as in just the Asian Events
