A group of expats in Isaan have started a petition about TM30. It concerns articles 37 and 38 of the immigration act.

 

Normally, they don't allow links here but I think this is a good cause. The website is reform-thai-immigration  and COM.

 

Even if you are not in Isaan, this affects many people. There are already 3,000 signatures and over 100 comments on website about problems.

You are not exposed if you sign and there will be further discussion with immigration.

 

We need this movement to grow even if you hear about it so much in last days. Please help and sign. It is a non sense to report to authorities because you go outside of the province for 24 hours. Many expats live here, have family here, work here, the applications online do not work.

 

What else can we do? Who else have done something? Foreigners are leaving Thailand because of the strict enforcement of some laws. People that were respecting the law and contributing to this country that we love. I rarely make pleas like that and of course this petition is not perfect.
