There are both type of Thai woman. The "older" style who think the man should pay.. and there are also a lot of new generation which like to share the bill or sometimes pay the bill themselves.

There are so many myths and generalisation on here from so many person.

 

To the OP, I guess he is not "Hi-So" himself, so why he thinks that they even should look at him? Most of the time only similar level look at themselves, as else there is not enough in common. This count for their Home-Country as well for Thailand, even in Thailand many ignore this fact!

You didn't answer my question. BTW, I never had a problem finding nice looking, well educated women in Australia, at least when I was younger. Once you get over 60 you become invisible to most western women.

Agree.  The OP is like many farangs who think that they've become Brad Pitt once they set foot in Thailand.  It just doesn't work that way.  What I've noticed in 15+ years in Thailand is that foreigners will almost always end up with a female of the same rating.  That is, if you're a 4 (of 10) back home, you're going to get a 4 in Thailand.  You may think she's a 7, but in the Thai system, she's a 4.  There are exceptions, of course.

I was in a bar in Pats a few years back when an ugly, grossly obese falang came in with a young, nice looking, Thai girl. The girl was looking down at the mouth, so the cashier asked the guy what her problem was. This big, fat guy replied that he'd just told her that she didn't turn him on any more!

Huh? Are you taking the piss or serious?? Of course normal girls drink too. My gf and ALL her friends drink occasionally, and they are all university-educated with decent jobs.

 

As for the OP, I suspect looks and presentation has a lot to do with it - if you look like a sexpat (or a tourist) then of course no woman would want to be seen with you, as in her mind she'd fear people will think she's a prostitute. Try grooming up and dress smart casual, you'll probably have better results.

 

Having said that - you mentioned you're approaching women on Sukhumvit road. As you very well know lower sukhumvit is full of prostitutes. Women you approach there are likely to think you have mistaken them for a prostitute and want to get the hell away from you ASAP. You should probably try another environment, like a supermarket, lol.

Spot on - I met a girl last week no way she looked older than 19 - turned out she was 31 and seriously stunning, I'm talking a 9, yet she was completely unaware of it.

Still the richest self made women I met in Thailand under 30 were not from Bangkok nor white skin and they didn’t care to show off and didn’t club. Most people in the category the op mentioned are working on family businesses and often don’t even earn that much, after all, the average Thai person loves to show off and spends more than should. Banks know that too. Just look at their loan rates ????????

 

How to know what girl is a keeper:

U go toilet and she pays u the bill without u asking, despite u always insisting to pay. 

She invites u to meet her friends/family and takes u at her meetings/work.

 

if she treats you fairly then she’s a good girl. Else screw and next. 90% girls prob not keepers here in bkk ????.

I'm not sure you get my meaning.  Sure most of these poor Thai girls believe that they would have a better opportunity to improve their financial situation in the USA.  But many of them don't think they can compete with American females on the attractiveness side.  How many times have Thai women told you that "farang women are so beautiful?"  It's because they watch a few American movies and think that all American women look like that.  Obviously they've never been to a Walmart.  If they only knew that these gorgeous American women they see in the movies are a tiny minority.

Yes, that was part of my point, the other part he is wrong about, if he (or you, maybe) have ever been around Sukhumvit during the day.  There is a lot more to Sukhumvit than Nana, it's a huge commercial business area.

OH Yeah, I absolutely agree. Its funny currently (At least in California) that many men only want to date pretty Asian women, (Vietnamese, Filipinos, Chinese etc) and the western women hate it, just like they do here when they walk around. The difference in the states is these Asian women are super picky, have extremely high expectations. A business colleague friend of mine started using a dating website as he was just to busy to get out and meet someone. It was one of the expensive dating sites. The women put down very specific age range, expected the man to be fit, some even specified education and minimum salary. I just laughed.....

 

A company I worked at years ago there was a large number of guys that had Asian mail order brides and it was quite a interesting site at the annual company Holiday party. Many were just like some expats here. There wives said little, some couldn't even speak English.

Last time I went to Texas, at least 70% of the females on the streets (not meaning prostitutes), in restaurants etc., were obese to morbidly obese. Perhaps that's why slimmer girls are desired, typically being Asian.
