We already do it online and have done so for over a month.

Ok, so what´s the problem. I like my Immigration Office and the IO that´s always sitting there. Always a coffée and a cake with me.

To know where a foreigner is staying at any given time.

And the reason you need to know where a foreigner is staying at any given time, even if their systems could show them where each foreigner in real time, what does it tell them?

So, now they are imcompetent. What more can be wrong? If everything is so worthless, why stay and complain?

They have announced that its going to be made and possible to do online. I guess we just have to give them some time, and comply with the rules until it gets easier.

Although China watches every foreigner closely during all times you are in their country. Their laws for reporting are actually simpler than Thailands. Only if you leave the country is a physical reporting required. This can only be done at the local police station and not with immigration offices. Travelling for a week or a month within the country gets reported by hotels. Or if you stay at a friends home.

Thailand needs to wake up and realize they are actually losing money for their tourism dollars by their continuing to use these outdated archaic laws. People who work will not sightsee other provinces for a weekend knowing that Monday they will need to report to immigration instead of their job.

Homeowners who rent legally will reject foreigners if they know the foreigner leaves to sightsee for even a day and therehy causing the homeowners to report so frequently the arrival again of their tenant.

Unfortunately, their response Barrow in regards to that petition you foreigners signed shows it was a waste of time. They will not make changes to that law unless something drastic happens which reports negatively and costs them tourism as is shown always in news reports that make Thailand appear badly online to the world.

In the meantime, using their app does work if you take the time to set it up on your home computers. Phone apps have nothing but problems. Or you can suggest to them about approving tracking bracelets for all foreigners arriving or staying in Thailand. Not much of a choice really. Live and accept the difficulties or leave.

Wrong. Every entry and exit from Thailand is on file along with every single TM30 that has been reported

Yes on file, however if someone attends imm say for extension and their most recent tm30 match up with tm6, you think they check all previous history?

@ verticalift   You have spent 20 years in Thailand and invested considerable funds.

Yet, apparently, you never discovered the way to live in Thailand in order to reap the benefits that are far in excess of your investment.

If this latest amount of inconvenience drives you out of the country, then you never belonged in Thailand in the first place.
