These are my opinions YMMV. I went to Pattaya out of curiosity mostly. Was mostly a waste of time and money. Basically Pattaya is a tourist trap. Prices 100-150% higher than where I live in Philippines. Thais not as friendly, get angry easily and can barely hide their dislike of tourists. Not all, but many. I will post more here depending on how this post is received.

I can see Pattaya for some guys, but not for anyone looking for meaning, quality and value for money.

I have actually been to Dumaguete , albeit more than 30 years ago. Crossed over by boat from Cebu. Don't remember too much but do remember the beaches were not very good. Not much action there either. Like to go again sometime but probably never will.

that phil is cheaper, and i would go there check it out were it not for i have a lot of pain and dont want to travel, plus, i dont accept living

in a home that has electric out frequently

Maybe you read some of my former posts. I used to live in Pattaya and moved to the Philippines some years ago. This was a very good decision indeed. Well, as far as I'm concerned. I went to Pattaya in February 2019 and yes, I had the impressions like you. No way I would return to this racist country. What I miss is the Thai food.

I really think the problem must be you. You can't even see the difference of a Filipino and a Thai. Philpiines racist ? You must be joking. But you are probably naive enough to trust the smile of a Thai and too dumb to realise who is racist and who is not. Thais love guys like you. And one last thing, somebody who was in Dumaguete 30 years (!!) ago just simply doesn't qualify to leave here his comment.
