Tomorrow the guys will plant my hedge and at present the ground is nice and soft due to the rainfall. After rain ends i need to devise a watering plan. There is around 400 plants to water so need a decent feed from the tank.

My plan is to get a submersible and place in the tank then cross over from pump hose size to 5/8 plastic pipe. Just checking what spec of Submersible pump i would require or any other options to keep things as simple as possible.

Don't use that small a pipe. You will take much longer than needed.

we have just got a new pump and plastic pipe for the same job. I insisted on the largest size that will fit it is a 1½" one SWMBO is now very happy with the speed of watering. Previously she was using one about the same size as you suggest.

Why a submersible?

Look at a close-coupled motor/pump unit mounted next to the tank.

Sketch out rough plan of pump / watering location and distances for better idea for recommendations.

The two sides are 45m per side and the rear is 35m.

Would you have some idea on the pump i would require, also would there be any that has adjustable flow or can i just use a gate valve and open to adjust the flow.

These are the tank connections.

I used  2  inch to within 10 metres of the irrigation system them down to 1.5 inch then 3/4 to each sprinkler head "spray" ground level so water not wasted going everywhere, I water  about 500 trees for 3  minutes each tree daily. I  only water 20 trees per  time ( well the staff do) takes them about 1.25 hours to do the lot.  Area covered is  about  1.5 acres 6 rai?

Used the thicker better  "13" pipe (13 bar), will stand  up to bashes, digging  better. My pressure is about 4  bar in the pipes.

All is  buried except where each section goes to a concrete  post with a tap to turn on each section of 10 sprinklers, that pipe is also painted to stop UV degradation of the pvc

You need to spell out what you want, a permanent installed system, hand watered, 400 trees at once or a few at a time - so many variations on configurations, Alternately get the local pump supply shop to come and have a look.

FWIW this is the pump we bought, we specifically did not want one with a float switch as it is in our pool that holds a few hundred kilolitres.

I have cut the top restriction off as there was no need to limit the outflow.
