Most people will have stories to tell about boredom in class at school - and in Thailand this is particularly true with much rote learning going on in schools.

But a school in Khon Kaen is bringing more fun into class - particularly in Math classes.

The children in P6 (the last year of primary grade) are being encouraged to "rap" when it comes to learning their multiplication tables.

And it is proving a big hit with the kids actually enjoying themselves in class, as shown by a video.

Director of Kranuan Community School Wirachat Dangkhamnoi acknowledged that Math classes can be boring for teachers and students alike.

So the teachers are thinking outside the box and bringing some fun to their education.

Brilliant, but why do school officials wear military style uniforms like those worn by employees in the Provincial Water and Electricity Offices?

That's because they are all civil servants.
