skype version for tablet

Featured Replies

I have done a search for this in this sub forum but no luck.  I am looking for the proper skype version to download on my old acer tablet.  Have looked at net using google and can't find the right version for my tablet, running windows 8.  Anyone have this info?

Look for Skype Classic

I just found this link but I didn't try it.

thanks , will check it out now, try to download and see.   was concerned that since win 8 is no longer supported that skype couldn't be used.  I will post the result of my attempt.   thanks again.

well I was able to download exe. file but when I tried to run it I got a banner on the website saying that it would not run on my pc.  so back to the drawing board so to speak.

The previous version I was using was ok for awhile then the sound would not come on and then later it would not connect at all.  this was some time after microsoft posted that win 8 would no longer be supported.

Guess I will continue with fb messenger which works fine with friends in canada and usa but iffy here in Thailand

Is it worth trying either the desktop version or even the tablet version - which says Win 10? You never know one may work ok?

Otherwise here in Thailand why not use Line?
