To be honest, I see logic in most of what I see in Thailand, but it is not necessarily the logic that I would apply. I was driving home from the church one day, and I was baffled by the traffic coming towards me. "Ah - one way street!" I thought, but the parked cars suggested it was not, as did the traffic also going in my direction. Flashing headlights suggested I was in the wrong, and suddenly I realised "It's a drive-on-the-right street!" and suddenly, everything went smoothly. I was incensed by the insanity of having a random drive-on-the-right street for months, years, even, until I considered the local road layout, and how that eliminated two conflicting traffic flows at either ends of the street. It's still not something I would do, but I can see why they did it. Oh are you talking about Thailand? I thought for a moment you were talking about the Savoy Hotel in the Strand London where they also drive on the right.

I'm not sure they want the same of their resident foreigners; and I think that they understand the difference, since the rules for tourists are so straight-forward, and for residents, less convenient. So, logically, they don't want residents. Neighbouring countries that do want residents make it easy to stay- LOS doesn't.
crazykopite Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 In short they would rather see us all pack our bags and go home

Everyone else must be wrong? You think less draconian drink drive laws result in fewer deaths? The pudding is the respective RTA death statistics from this. Thailand is orders of magnitude worse than anywhere in Europe where you’ll be jailed for persistent drink drive offending . Your Trump analogy is a false equivalence. His strategy cannot yer be evaluated. The examples I’ve given most certainly have. And again I have not said incapable of logical thought but a far larger absence of it. Frankly your rationale for creating work as the justification for immigration procedures is risible or do you think productivity is illogical too. Thailand does not have an unemployment issue. Im leaning to conclude you may have been here too long and have become 'infected ' with the same malaise . I will leave this response as perfect evidence of my point. 1
