Euro owners are in the happy situation of easy conversion.

33.3 today. 3 Euro = 100 Baht.

I started with 100 Baht = 2 Euro.

Then for long 100 Baht ~ 2.50 Euro.

I'm cool thanks just wonder why everyone blames brexit as for me I don't know why people can't see what a mess the EU is in.

Yes the Oz $ has dropped around 20% in the last 3-4 years, however Thailand is still relatively cheap when comparing eggs for eggs, although 20% more expensive than 3-4 years ago, so if your tight, you have to keep trimming the fat until it goes back up, me on the other hand will continue getting fatter, well at least till I'm broke ????

I think it was around 25 baht to the $ 3-4 years ago, 36 nah yeh, the most I saw it get to was about 33 and I think that was in 2007-2008 or around there

The only relevant issue here is ......... what did you get for 100 Baht then and what do you get today. While we all moan and suffer from the strong Baht; Thailand is a Bath-country and hence the only relevant issue. 

Flipping the coin (pun intended), where would you put the surplus cash if the foreign exchange situation would be the other way round?

That is for sure great news that you get now more pounds for 100 Baht than before.

     I find Thailand still very cheap--for me as an American. And, I compare prices to America and not surrounding countries as I have no desire to live full-time in any of the neighboring countries.  Or, the Philippines.  Luckily the baht has stayed fairly stable with the dollar in the 9 years I have been here.

    In America I would be paying a lot more for the big ticket item of keeping a roof over my head.  I'm not a renter so I would likely have a mortgage to live in something similar to what I have now (well, probably not very similar as now I have an oceanfront condo in a nice location here and that would likely be out of the question even with a mortgage). So, mortgage and property taxes--something I don't have here. And, a much larger monthly condo fee in the US and likely higher utility and insurance costs--especially if I had a condo on the ocean..

     Liquor is definitely more expensive here but I'm not a big drinker. As I go down the list of things I spend my money on, most are cheaper here:  eating out (which I love and do a lot), medical care--hugely cheaper and easier, going to the movies, food and drugs, hiring people to fix things and having a weekly cleaning lady, and having a second getaway condo--out of the question in the US, and traveling around Thailand is probably cheaper than traveling around the US.

    In 9 years here I haven't seen big jumps in prices other than the mentioned alcohol.  The COLAs I get on my pension and SS are easily keeping pace with Thailand's prices and my lifestyle.  I realize I am very lucky with how my currency is faring with the baht.

When I saw the title I thought what can be bought for 100 baht now (comparing price for …)….. but again that GBP whining ….grrrr , get over it ,living in Thailand  I count in Baht, I pay in Baht .

That way you can see the correct increasing prices for Thailand for this or that...

Those were the times! The best I ever got was about 52 Baht per Euro for an ATM withdrawal, slightly less than 500 Euro for the maximum Baht amount allowed in a single transaction, 25,000 Baht. Oh, and Thai banks didn't yet charge an arm and a leg for withdrawals with foreign cards either.
