PHUKET:-- The B3.5 billion proposal to have a water-supply pipeline from Phang Nga dedicated to serving Phuket has been approved by Cabinet.

 

Deputy Government Spokeswoman Ratchada Thanadirek announced the news at the Prime Minister's Office yesterday (Sept 17).

 

Cabinet had approved the six projects proposed by the national Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA), Ms Ratchada announced.

Correct.  Even the dates given are optimistic if the chalong underpass is anything to go by.

It would seem that creating new and enlarging existing reservoirs in Phuket would be much more efficient, be done in much less time and still cost less.
Why is the obvious solution usually overlooked?

A bit of investment in dredging existing reservoirs much more efficient solution.

Exactly. It's perfect time to do so while the water levels are so low. 

And they still build 3 more big hotels mai khao as anounced a few days ago. Greed everybody

No shortage of water in Mai Khao dude. 

 

The issue is water management and  development in Kathu.
