Ignore him. I think he's being a bit facetious! ????

On a slightly more serious note regarding tyre pressures. I bought my own pump and pressure gauge so I don't have to rely on Somchai's guess work. Also worth mentioning, did you note whether your local shop replaced the inner tubes along with the tyres?

The tubes here are very porous (leak a lot) and become more so with age. They should always be replaced along with the tyres.

Happy and safe riding. Always wear a helmet!

So you have'nt noticed any handling differences or problems with the new tyre in the last 4 weeks?

If not, then it's obviously fine.

Bad advice IMO, especially coming from an experienced rider! The O/P may not notice any difference until he's out on a wet, slippery road one day or misjudges a bend. It will be too late then to say 'S**t, I should got those tyres sorted out'.

Remember the old adage: 'If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing properly'.

Yawn.

This is why i try and avoid comment on the step thru moped ladies section.

And i always advocate a separation of subforums.

1. Bicycles and lycra/spandex.

2. Step throughs, scooters, twist and go's, mods and girls and gays.

3. Proper loud, fast blokes/geezers motorcycles.

Short answer is no.

This is what Google says:

Tires marked as front or rear tires should only be used in their designated position. ... A front tire has a more triangulated profile for steering control, while a rear tire has a flatter profile for bike stability.

Not always true. The Michellin pilotstreet fitted on my PCX can actually be used as a rear or a front tire.

Aha ok, some laughs are always a good thing even if i don't get the sense.

For the inner tubes yes they have been replaced also at the same time with the tyres.

My rides are always happy, thank you.

i try to do it safe, even if it's not easy, but the helmet is not an option for me and the GF

always on the head when on the bike, it's our only bodywork.
