Import licence for production machinery in own company

Hey my name is Nay Chi.

 

I just registered my Thai start-up company with my partner. 

We need some machinery from India, so we can produce our finished product in Thailand

So my question is 

1: do I need to register for VAT before i can import the machinery?

2: do I need an import licences to import machinery for self use?

The industry is biodagredeble and eco-friendly products

2. You have to use Certificate of origin or C/O issue by seller and contact Shipping agent to process in Custom procedure.
