The Best Buiscuit For Dunking?

Featured Replies

What's the best buiscuit for dunking? Rich tea are the worst. Hob nobs are the best. Or are they?

What's your experience?

Sorry Tiggy..... I'm a non-dunker.

I can see why some people may like it but I prefer my coffee in the cup and the biscuits on the plate, and to sample them as separate items.

One thing I have tried though which can be quite fun on tedious days..... Cadburys Chocolate Fingers .... bite off each end first and use like a straw, you have to be quick though and suck really hard at first, the biscuit dissolves and you end up with a chocolate tube....... tip, put them in the freezer for a few hours first.

Army Buiscuit , those square hard Buiscuit without taste or adde favour

there are best for dunking in all kinda stuff ,

i used to be able to eat like 50 pcs non stop whahahah but you get relaly full cos is compress Buiscuit

Ginger snaps are pretty good (is that the name? I've forgotten - the ginger ones in a packet, not the cylindrical ones you pipe cream into)

Thaddeus....you little devil you....trying to pull this thread off topic are you? This is the dunker's thread and here you go tring to insert your non-dunker propoganda. There is plenty of room here in Bedlam for a non-dunker thread too...I hope this little note is the encouragement you require to start your very own non-dunker thread....or maybe its a chocolate straw thread you would like to start...does anyone remember Flav-R-Straws?

And...to avoid being off topic, I prefer the rectangular coconut wafers that you can get at Big-C in the large tins....dunked in Lipton tea with a spot of milk.

Sincerely yours,

Chownah

Believe it or not, research has been done and the 'best' biscuit was indeed the Ginger Nut! But the word 'best' is obviously subjective. Best was the biscuit that absorbs the most liquid and retains the most texture.

I read about it in the Guardian, a really serious article detailing the work of research scientists. Can you imagine your PhD being on the dunkability of various biscuits? Ya wouldn't want to own up to it!

Oh, boy, Tig. That's about as useful as a thesis on why Britney Spears shaved her head or why footie fans drink beer. :o

And, ya, Raro, I saw you sneaked an r in my "dunk" word quote. You gonna pay. Yep, you gonna pay.

Wow, I didn't notice 'dunk' becoming 'drunk'! I suppose I could add this to the profound sayings thread. "Don't dunk whilst drunk!"

SERIOUS WARNING !!!!

Be extremely careful when dunking ginger nuts. Too much liquid of any kind equals loss of your end !!

Try dunking in the future with no end in sight .

ginger nuts are great.

"nice" are good,

tinned butter cookies from denmark are good... (the swirly one with sugar on top).

Butter cookies for dunking? I don't think so, one dip and they're dead!

You gonna pray. Yep, you gonna pray.

sorry, but I'm not religious....

You will be when you're down on your knees and at my mercy for changing my words again.

You better start dunking.

Found this cool new cake in a bakery down here, MiG, that's filled (& I mean filled) with a chocolate sauce like Nutella or similar (more chocolate-y, less nutty). Really gorgeous! No good for dunking, though... :o

i dont care about going off topic anymore....but I WANT that cake!!!!

when i was travelling in Italy (my first trip to europe!) stayed at small hotels that were not anything special....breakfast was provided...again nothing spectacular...especially if you are used to the breakfast buffet offered by hotels in bangkok....just very basic cornflakes, milk, coffee...some not so interesting bread.....and then my eyes wandered to the jam selection....and guess what........

wait for it..............

can you guess....................

trays full of mini packs of.................

NUTELLA!!!! mmmmmmmmmmm

the best breakfast I had in Europe :D :D :D

(PS. to stay on topic...ermm ahhh errrr I didnt quite dunk the toast with nutella into anything...will give that a trial ...maybe.....and report back ) :o
