My wife is coming to live in uk does she need to get an international driving license before she goes to the uk? I know she can only drive there for 12 months before passing a driving test thanks all and sorry if its in the wrong forum

As you’re aware she can use her Thai licence in the UK for up to twelve months from the date of arrival, she should obtain a UK licence during that period.

She needs to have a full five year Thai licence.

An International Driving Permit is not required.

One other thing her license is in her maiden name and now she has a married surname do you think she can go with this or have to change the name before?

She should change it to her correct name.
