At first I reckoned you were referring to the previous chap who wished me dead, while appreciating my unconscious habit of keeping a finger poised over the front brake lever.  Now it seems you were actually hand-stalking me.

Weird, but not surprising around these parts.

You want the truth, correct?

I saw "your" picture which looks like a pretty young girl.

So I thought: Ok, let's have a look at that video. I looked a minute here and there, just clicking a couple of times to get an idea what it's about.

And then I saw that hand which didn't look like the hand of a pretty young girl.

And that inspired me to that comment. And then the last comment at that time mentioned "old man" so I answered to that one.

Rest assured, I won't try to identify your hands or you in other pictures or videos. ????

  • Thanks for your comments.  I posted knowing there would be both positive and negative reactions, but figured that guys like you and me would take it for what it is: an experienced rider using his bike

  • Yielding to pedestrians in Thailand will get you run over from behind.   Thank you, happy to oblige.

  • Not criticizing, each to their own etc, but I am amazed  you lasted more than 45 secs, and after 2 minutes I couldn't watch anymore and was almost wishing /waiting for you not to get wiped out !

Not really, just got no time for wreckless iresponsibility !

But plenty of time to wish harm and injury upon others.

Excellent.

I have to admit I tried to reconcile that hand with "your" picture...

Just imagine Frankenstein.

Thanks for sharing the vid. I have done quite a few GoPro Vids on my moto's here in Thailand and posted them and there will always be a few that will comment about all the laws you broke or the things you did improperly. Riding and cutting traffic is pretty standard fare back in the states albeit its done far more here. But that's life on small cc moto's.

As for the vid itself, a bit long but I understand. I have done some long ones then cleaned them up or sped them up a bit to shorten them. Actually doing some in hyperlapse make for some good laughs.

Looks like a fun ride albeit I would prefer to head out of the city and ride around the mountain roads.

Look forward to more.

OP: hyperlapse and a shoulder camera mount would be ideal, cheers.

It's all good.  I haven't changed my avatar since 2004 or 2005 when I joined this forum.  You can tell what was on my mind back then, and it hasn't changed very much despite getting married and having 2 fabulous kids.  In my heart I'm still 21 but now I walk this Earth in a skinny, sun weathered 58 year old body.

Now you know the truth, jing jing ????

Thanks for your comments.  I posted knowing there would be both positive and negative reactions, but figured that guys like you and me would take it for what it is: an experienced rider using his bike handling skills plus knowledge of local driving customs and road conditions to get from point A to point B in the smoothest, most efficient way possible.  I welcome all comments with no offense taken.

My observation of local riders indicates that Thais tend to ride either too slow or too fast, with very few able to find the appropriate speed for the conditions.  That said, I'm always impressed by their ability to ride while balancing a propane tank, 3 family members, talking on the phone, and carrying an umbrella in the rain, simultaneously.

Hmm , a Guy on Scooter thing, most uplifting.!.????

Any time. Its nice to see people take the time to post up vids versus all the relentless bickering and fighting that tends to happen here. Vid recording on moto's is fun. When riding there are so many things you just can't see or some times miss. Watching it later you get to see it all again.

I always do too and take the feedback for what it is worth. I always prefer the constructive type to improve the vid. I mount my GoPro H7 in numerous different locations on the moto attempting to show a different road angle.  I do not expect every poster to enjoy the content. That said, they all have the choice to view or not.

I agree. After living and riding here for numerous years on scooters and big bikes(as they call them here), I have always been amazed on what some of the locals are able to do on a 110cc wave. Is it safe, definitely not based on how I grew up and rode in the states but it is how so many get by here to either making a living or get around. I do not judge, I just blend in and enjoy riding.

Many posting here with experience. Some more than you.

Highway speeds in sweatpants and running shoes ? Lucky road not decorated with 200 meters of Korean blood and skin.

Mine pointed out where courtesy was lacking.
