Not folks like Chownah or even Acquiesce (what did he do to coil your tresses? ) There are a lot of new flamers at the mo. Seems to be a lot of the newbies & I mean real newbies, 30 posts or less, flaming at the mo. Which leads me to believe they ain't real newbies . I have 2 theories: one is that they are banned members come back to create some hassle. The other is that they are from the other place trying to do the same. There was one who was threatening to come on here with the objective mainly of getting to 2 of our most respected members, one of whom is a mod. Leisurely knows what I'm talking about as she alerted people to it on another thread.

These people are far too bold for real newbies. I've been flamed once on a thread & received a slightly unpleasant pm from a different member telling me to "go home" that I "spout feminist garbage" and he hopes he "never bumps into" me. Believe me, I hope so too. What real newbie is going to join a forum & start that cr@p with members that have been here far longer?

There's one on farang pub, too, who started on pumpuiman. Too many to be coincidence, methinks...

I'll tell you a story instead.

Once upon a time I was a university student studying to be a math teacher. I was doing a class where I actually helped teach a class. I developed my own lesson plans for a week of classes and they were approved by the regular teacher and away I went....... One of the activities was to play a simple math game similar to Go....it is where you try to get 5 in a row while your opponent tries to block you and get 5 in a row themselves....its fun and the kids mostly like it and it teaches them to think ahead and to recognise patterns. Anyway....we had a sort of informal tournament going and I had each match played on a seperate piece of paper and at the top I had a place to list the winner and loser like you would in a tournament. After about 15 minutes of watching and keeping things going I came to the realization that one of the unintended things I was teach the kids was to divide themselves up into winners and losers.......one of the saddest days of my life.

i always enjoy Chownah's thread, and usually post in them. the Rock (i), (ii), (iii) and (iv) for four of my favorite thread last year...

Then again, I was doing a lot of hard drugs back then...

I haven't started many new threads in the past six months or so.. Too many good threads going already.
