Thanks for the welcome back. Had a fantastic 3 weeks. Had the pleasure of meeting Bambi in Bangkok on my way home. Fantastic lady, we had a meal and a few drinks and she is just as nice in person as she is on-line.

I was really sorry to be coming home and am now checking diary for the next visit.

ps You may have read in the Samui forum, I also met roo and his wife - also had a meal and a few drinks. Can you spot a trend?

i was once told that i am hung like a horse.

That reminds me of a Gorgon Wednesday Girls campfire song, Fluffy:

Does your dong hang low,

does it wobble to and fro,

can you tie it in a knot, can you tie it in a bow,

can you throw it over your shoulder like Athena's stupid soldiers

does your dong hang low...

horse.

I agree with that comment and then you should be drawn and quartered too. I think putting the four parts of the body in the far reaches of the kingdom is probably not necessary though.

I've never had any interest in horses or horse racing. The only time I ever backed a horse I wouldn't say it was slow but the jockey kept a diary of the race.

The best thing they ever put on the back of a horse was lady Godiva.

and that must be tlw. :o

Sounds nice, Kayo, but the last Kentucky Derby race was awestruck awesome. Little foal is in 19th place in a field of 20, straggles along until the final stretch; then the jockey leads him up along the rail, overtakes 17 horses, hangs a right and overtakes #2 and then smackeroonies against the lead horse to speed across the post and win the derby by a length in front of Queen you know who. Best race since Sea Biscuit and Delta Colleen.

Street Sense. TLW. :o

edited for um clarity of sorts.

Kentucky Derby is a horse race is it? Hmm thanks for the clarification, why do they have to wear a derby will a trilby or bowler suffice.

I had a good laugh in Bangkok when some street vendors (the ones who look more like incas than Thais) trying to sell me there wares. Firstly none of the 'jewellery' would fit, not made for big farang. They then tried to sell me a hat - size of a monkey hat, black with colourful tassles of wool sewn all over it. And, wait for it, little bells all over it. I tried it on for a laugh, they were realy trying to sell it to me. Can you imagine me wearing that is sunny Liverpool? Bells ringing as I wander...

You could always set up a scouser alternative morris dancing troupe. You might get a contract at Anfield for the half time entertainment. :o

Ah the ubiquitous Akha bonnet - yes it is a bonnet not a hat, never ceases to amaze me the number of guys walking around in a ladies hat. Come up to Chiang Mai where every second person in the street/bar is trying to sell you one.

FYI I got a friend of mine one for his birthday and he loves it, calls it his drinking cap and takes it everywhere on his night out. Gets a load of free drinks from drunks who think it's hilarious.

Thanks for the info CB. Hmmn, free drinks? Maybe I should have bought one!

You are most welcome - oddly the Scots refer to the hat they wear as a bonnet also, buit they do wear skirts so could be that they really are a bunch of nancy boys :o

Whenever I have met a man in a kilt, they could never be referred to as nancy boys! However, calling your hat your bonnett, now that is worthy of derision! :o
