Price-cutting not on agenda as THAI seeks turnaround in fortunes

Schools seen playing important role in curbing rapid rise in diabetes

There has been a 27 per cent increase in diabetes among Thai youth but the efforts of Sweet Enough Network in Saraburi province have been successful in reducing sugar consumption in schools in the province to eight teaspoons per day.

Agriculture department clamps down on unregistered fertilisers, pesticides

Thousands of police to be deployed for pope’s visit

Some 6,000 police officers from the Metropolitan Police Bureau and Provincial Police Region 7 will be deployed to facilitate movement of traffic and provide security during Pope Francis’s three-day visit to Thailand. The pope arrives on November 20.

Thailand ranks sixth on world’s strongest health security list
